This is a fine lamp. It lightens a room when you hit the switch. You can adjust it. It is... a lamp and does what a lamp is supposed to do. So - yes. It is fine.

Works amazing! I bought this about a year ago and it still feels high quality, no deterioation. Works in all situations, so extremely versatile. Doesn’t get too hot and works amazing for hours on end. Extremely portable so works anywhere anytime.

Torchstar Swing Arm Lamp is excellent value at just at virtually the lowest price as an ordinary goose neck desk lamp. It provides great flexibility for the desk, study table, kitchen, tool bench, anywhere as a work light, you name the use. I wouldn't term the construction as tough or industrial, but it is very functional and reasonably built for indoor lamps. Electrical components seem well made, decent quality, and durable. Product box states it is UL listed for US safety. Dual-Base design makes useability a unique and ultra versatile feature for any home or business.

The lamp is good—the only thing is that the first usage option (the base) is fragile and breaks if you aren't careful, but you still have the second option. I liked it, and it's good for the price.

My son wanted a Pixar light and this totally looks like it! It works and moves great. I actually got a second one for my office. It's easy to put together and traveled well to his dorm.

PROS- The lamp was about the size I expected, a small lamp to sit on a desk or corner table (about the height of a 2-liter bottle of pop). The base felt nice and heavy, but was far from sturdy. The Arms, Springs, and Shade appear to be sturdy metal, and the interior was bright white and likely would reflect a lot of light downward where I needed it. It was not pricey. CONS- The one I was shipped appears to have been opened, used, and repackaged - it was missing the table clamp advertised, and the Weighted Base already had a crack in it's plastic sheathing. The base, though heavy, is no a sturdy piece or solid, it has some inner material with a plastic sheath around it, which the anchor peg is a part of. As a result, anchoring the light assembly into this peg and adjusting it at all, bends and warps the oeg where it fans out into the rest of the sheeting, causing it to warp. This was how I found the pre-existing crack in that sheathing. The screw on the base to "secure" the light is made out of a very flimsy plastic - and no I do not mean just the head ot thumbscrew part - the entire shaft of the screw, which means it will fail ver quickly. This could probably be replaced, but it should not need to be. I can not speak to the table clamp as it wa smissing, but I have no confidence in it having been well made based on the base. I also very much dislike that the switch is a very cheap rocker switch, of the type that fail or burn out readily, on the chord and not a turn switch or even pull switch on the lamp itself. I cannot recommend this product because of it's poor quality of manufacture. It is a shame too, as aside from the cheap base, and switch style, everything else about this had promise.

An excellent lamp for desktop use. We have uesed it with both the clamp and the weighted base. It makes it easy to move it around.

Other than the fact that it lights up when you turn switch on I don't have much good to say about this lamp. The base is much too light and tips over easily. I tried using the clamp on base and was disappointed with the quality of the clamp. It is made out of plastic and the mounting hole did not seem to be properly sized for the part of the lamp that slides into it. I should have known from looking at the picture that the switch for the lamp is integrated into the power cord rather than being a separate switch on the lamp makingit horribly inconvenient to turn off and on. I keep buying this junk manufactured in China and expecting to get quality. Why do I do that?
