The Beadery Bonanza 5LB of Mixed Craft Beads, Sizes, Plastic, Round, Multicolor

So I waited until I sorted them all to write this. I personally think this is great I bought it really just wanting the pony beads so it was what I wanted because that is what I got the most of. There is a variety though and the other beads are great too. In my opinion it is worth the purchase and will definitely be buying again.

This is a good size box. I got them as Christmas gift for a 6 year old who loves arts and crafts. My 11 year old asked for some to and there is more then enough to keep some. This has a large variety of bead yes as good amount were pony beads but there were also animals, stars, hearts, a train, several sizes. I didn't get the ones that kinda looked like soda can tabs but whatever I am sure they will get used for something. A few looked broken I will try to get them sorted out before gifting them. Downfall the bag they came in inside the box spilt open during shipping and the box had a small gap so I had to chase a few across my driveway after they were delivered.

This is incredible!! I buy a lot of beads from all over. The Beadery brand are the gold standard of kandi cuffs! I have never seen them lower priced anywhere else. It is so exciting to get new beads. We rip into them and start squealing with excitement every time. We will never be satisfied with just one box so take my advice and order 2 before I get them all!! Oh and one more thing...for yall saying there is only one specialty bead in your box...I gotta say give them another chance because I counted at least five before I even poured any out of the bag. I sorted all the varieties and colors that I received. I was very disappointed in the small amount of red ones. My pictures are snack baggies not sandwich bags. I got more broken beads than red beads. But other than that it felt like a treasure hunt. I loved the few animal ones I got.

Great assortment and value. There were some broken ones, not unexpected. I sorted them and have uploaded photos of what I received. Not shown are a few animals, a cross and about 50 beads my grandaughter got too. I ordered a second box and am just as happy with that bix as the first. I would reccomed for anyone wanting a sensory bin or a good assortment Heavy on poney beads.

Like many reviews have said there are alot of pony beads. I do not care. I have never made a review before opening something before! It's a gallon sized bag FULL of beads. Seriously I don't think I will ever get it back closed again. I am so looking forward to sorting this. Only problem? I am going to need more containers!

The photos listing looked great. I was excited to receive a variety of beads (and some pony beads)... Not what I received at all. 95% pony beads. I'm being kind. There were 7 or 8 beads in the bag that were not pony beads. What I received is nothing similar to what the listing shows. Look at my photos, see if you can see other beads. So disappointed. I'm sending it back.

I bought this 5‑pound bead mix because the color selection looked amazing, and to be fair, the colors really are vibrant and fun. There’s a nice range of shades, and it’s great for big craft projects where you need a lot to work with. The downside is the quality control. I found a noticeable number of broken beads in the mix, which was disappointing. It’s not enough to make the whole bag unusable, but it definitely takes time to sort through. The ratio of bead types is also pretty uneven. Some styles show up a ton, while others barely appear at all, so it’s not as balanced as I expected for a mix this size. Overall, it’s still usable and the colors are great, but the inconsistencies keep it at three stars for me.

A great deal for a variety of beads. Mostly pony beads (standard, glittler, etc.), and a decent number of animal beads that are great for craft time with the kids. There were a number of broken beads in the bag, and I wish there were more 'nice' beads in there, but overall happy with the order and would definitely buy again.

This is my second time buying this “mystery box” of beads. And I love it!!! At first glance when removing the big plastic bag of beads out of the box, it looks like it’s mostly pony beads. But hang on …. It’s not all pony beads. I spent hours sorting the box I received months ago and the one I received the week …and oh my goodness! I discovered both boxes I ordered had so much variety! To compare … when I ordered in spring of 2021 it was a lot of pony beads (probably 75%) and tri-beads (5%). The remaining 20% of beads was so so worth the price of this box! I ended up with tons of variety! Large unique shaped glass beads, multi faceted beads, animals, jumbo beads, letter beads, average sized beads, and teeny tiny beads too. My recent box (summer 2021) had surprisingly less pony beads. Unlike the last box that had 75%, this box had maybe only 50% pony beads. And no tri-beads this time (thank goodness because those are my least favourite). But the coolest thing about the recent box was it came with about a dozen big pumpkin beads! Perfect timing with Halloween 3 months away. Now for the “mystery box” part… my 6 year old daughter and I dumped the beads out of the plastic bag and into the box they came in and began sorting. She picked out all the huge beads! It was truly like opening a treasure chest. So much variety and very different than the box I ordered a few months ago! Now listen… if you make jewelry and/or you love beads, you need to buy this box of beads! When you get it, sort it. Trust me it’s so worth it to sort. Time consuming yes, but worth it. After sorting all the beads I began making necklaces with the amazing beads. Pony beads aside, the value of the other beads, in my opinion, was well over $100. And I’m saying this as someone who knows bead prices. If you had to buy all the beads included in this box you’d spend well over $100, and that’s how I felt for both boxes. Not to mention good luck finding such a big variety in one store. How to sort: Start by pulling out all the huge stones and unique large beads. Then remove all pony beads and put them in a ziplock. (If you really don’t need the pony beads, donate them to a school or gift them to kids who will love making bracelets for their friends with them.). So after removing the pony beads (and tri-beads too if there is any) you’ll be left with the rest which is what will amaze you. I bought 5 plastic divided containers at the dollar store to put all the beads in. Each container had 36 compartments. (See photos I posted with the sorted beads and some necklaces I made so far.) For string, I purchased both 0.8mm and 1mm stretchy string (in white and in back) off Amazon and it worked perfectly for all the necklaces I made. I also purchased a 1.2mm rainbow stretchy string off Amazon which my daughter loves to use to make pony bead necklaces. I have already made about 20 bracelets (with 22-25 beads on each), plus a dozen long necklaces (100-120 beads on each), 8 medium necklaces (60-80 beads on each) and I’m still left with a tonne of beads!!!!! So I’ve used well over 2000 beads and I’m still left with thousands more. If you’ve read my review this far, thank you. Now go buy those beads! I will be buying another box in a few months!! Can’t wait!!

I happen to dabble in kandi or making art from beads for festivals, and when I saw the sheer amount of beads that came with this, I had to purchase them, as it seemed like the ideal amount, spoiler alert, I hardly saw any broken beads in my order.

Para empezar NO HAY CUENTAS DE VIDRIO. En la descripción dice claramente que son puras cuentas de plástico y lo confirmo porque me puse a organizar todas las que me llegaron por color. El contenido de la caja es de 2 Kg de cuentas de lo que caiga por lo que puede que te toque más cuentas de un color que de otro. En mis fotos pueden ver que casi no me llegaron cuentas de color rojo, negro, y azul rey pero tengo bastantes cuentas rosas, moradas, amarillas, azul claro/aqua/turquesa y transparentes. También depende de la época del año las cuentas de figuritas. A mí me llegaron calabazas, dinosaurios y aviones aunque originalmente esperaba que me llegaran delfines pero estoy contenta con el contenido que me llegó. Recomendaciones: 1) Tengan listas bolsitas ziploc o recipientes para organizar las cuentas por color. 2) Antes siquiera de empezar a organizar recomiendo mucho que les den una lavada con agua y jabón, sobre todo si vas cuentas van a ser para niños. En mi bolsa me llegó un pedazo de cinta adhesiva con lo que parece ser pelo de perro por lo que asumo que en el sitio donde embolsan las cuentas hay mascotas. Más vale prevenir. 3) Recomiendo que si separan las cuentas tengan a la mano una agua de caneva o unos palillos de dientes para que puedan desatorar las cuentas pequeñitas que hayan quedado atoradas dentro de otras. Adjunto un mini video por si les resulta de utilidad y disculpen la calidad de la producción. 4) No menos importante, sí aparten un fin de semana para organizar y checar si hay cuentas rotas. De toda la bolsa cálculo que llegaron unas 20 cuentas rotas pero nada grave. Y en conclusión: Sí recomiendo el producto, sobre todo sin van empezando a hacer kandis (las cuales se hacen con cuentas de 6mm aprox) para festivales, pulseras de la amistad, llaveros, etc. No vienen letras o cuentas que brillan en la oscuridad por lo que esas deben comprarse por aparte. Una de las razones por las cuales recalco tanto lo de organizar por color es para que vean si compran las tonalidades que les hagan falta (como esmi caso que voy a tener que pedir cuentas rojas). Creo que por casi 370 pesos es una buena compra y me servirá para un montón de proyectos que tengo pensado hacer.
