My older (3rd party) WiiU GC controller adapter is no longer working on my Switch OLED, which to my understanding is due to the 19.0.1 system update that was pushed out on 10/29/24. Feared that I would have to go buy a 1P Nintendo OEM adapter (WUP-028), which are very hard to find right now - a handful are available used on eBay for $100+. Fortunately however, this one works perfect! So for those who are in a similar situation, SAVE YOUR MONEY and buy this very affordable option! I've heard the mayflash adapter works too, but it requires you to download a firmware update on their website. This product on the other hand is simply plug and play!

Does not work with dance mat but the company issued refund, so giving 5 stars for service.

Works great for smash ultimate on the switch with very little lag and rumble works as well and works great on pc too

Item would not pair my Wavebirds to the Switch. The light on the Wavebird receivers lit up when I pressed buttons on the controllers, but it wouldn't pair with the Switch itself. My wired GameCube controller had no issues pairing to the Switch and rumble did work. But of course, I need this to work with ALL my GC controllers. If I can get a replacement sent out (that works properly) I will change my review.

I have been using this adapter on pc with an original Gamecube Wavebird Controller. I loving how the physical switch that turns it on and off so I dont have to unplug it. Generally works flawlessly with no percievable lag. It seems to compatible with everything I want to play so far outside of a weird backwards mapping for my c-stick but that can be fixed in most game options. Plug in Play, very easy to use. Overall very pleased.I just wish it didnt seemingly disable my other controllers while active.

It is very easy to use. We use it all the time to play with our GameCube controllers on Super Smash Bros Wii U. Love it and highly recommend for the price and for the quality. We haven’t had problems with it since buying it so far.

Plugged it into our Nintendo Switch to play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It uses two USB ports as stated. Worked with our old GameCube controller. Zero problems after 10+ hours of playtime.

When used with a PC, I was able to get this to work with a wired controller, but not with a WaveBird controller. So perhaps this device may work with a WaveBird when used with a Switch/Wii/Wii-U, but not with a PC. I decided to keep this anyway because I used it to swap with a friend who has a similar device but different brand. This friend uses a wire controller only. His brand of device fully supports the WaveBird controller on the PC. In the end, we both got what we need.
