I rented this for my cultural geography class this past semester and it was an extremely helpful textbook. It was one of the few textbooks that isn't a headache to read. All the information was clear and easy to understand. I would not have gotten an A without this textbook!

Unless you are into the geography of social issues, stay away from this one. Unfortunately, I had to read this for a class, and I found it awful. There are several typos and grammos, and I found two "facts" on the same page that directly contradict each other. Who was the editor of this book? Fire them! Terrible reading with many LONG sentences of socio-babble (I counted one with 56 words! Come on, really??). Yeah, it's a college text, but they could have made the reading much easier and more interesting. Two thumbs down on this one.
