I wanted to like these for the price point. I wanted to post a nice review for people looking for a good inexpensive set of flush hood pins. This is not a good review, and these are not good good pins. The mechanism is made of extremely cheap plastic, the one internal locking pin is held in place with cheap plastic. The spring is too small and too weak. The retracting pin doesn’t retract enough to actually release from the hood pin, and the whole cheap plastic mechanism binds when you do actually get that pin to release…making it impossible to close the latch again without prying that pin forward with a hook tool. Don’t buy this. They are guaranteed to fail. Get the more expensive genuine version instead.

These things are JUNK!! The latches broke before I even installed them. They don't open all the way, and when they finally do, the handle breaks when you try to shut it. Spend the money and buy real aero catch.

Does not stay locked have to lock multiple times and will never stay locked just got used to it

Got these cause my hood latch broke. Worked great. I will say it is time consuming install but worth it

i wish i read the reviews before i bought these, just saw the price and went with it. these are soo cheap, they get stuck when you try to close them. broke one in the process of trying to get it to close. don’t waste your money please

I bought these for my brother's car, and they hold the hood closed but one of them already broke. We couldn't get it to open, because the little mechanism in it came undone and then it broke. Definitely not worth it. Only gave it two stars because they have kept the hood down.
