Easy to use. Quick to wilt the weed leaves. Even works when it's windy. Gas lasts a good long time. Canister is easy to load. Piezo starter usually works first try. Produces a nice strong blue flame.Seems better than those other, pure butane, wands all duplicated over Amazon although I haven't tried one of those.

Ideal for the job - very easy to use and effective.

The GoSystem weed burner is a pretty good device and represents good value. The components feel sturdy and the design means that the gas canister nicely balances the long flame lance. The igniter works well and feels like it will remain reliable. Finally, the air pre-mixer gives an excellent flame and problem free ignition. Like most gas canister systems, the flame is most effective in still air, with no or little breeze, in fact early evening seems quite a good time to do it. Strong winds makes the process less effective but this seems to be true of gas canister systems. Overall, very happy to recommend.

I have had an earlier, and as far as I can see, identical copy of this tool for at least 15 years, and it has been invaluable for burning off weeds from our brick patio. The only failure after a lot of use, was that eventually the igniter refused to work. It is easy to use, and the canisters are easily available.

Sturdy item. The canisters last a surprisingly long time. Useful addition to the weeder's armoury. Weedkiller and a hand fork still have their uses but this definitely has a place in the holy trinity. I also use it for burning off barbecue residue which can then be removed with a cordless drill and a couple of wire brushes.

I was cautious of buying this product because it was one on the ‘cheaper’ ones. However it has done everything as promised. The two butane/gas bottles simply screw into the handle, you turn the nozzle for gas and ignite the flame by clicking a button on the long tube. I hover over any weeds which instantly causes them to sweat and curl (no need to burn to a crisp). Within 24 hours the entire weed is dead. Easy! The only gripe is the handle is hard plastic and can become slightly uncomfortable but that’s me been picky!

Lets make it clear. If it's a large amount of weeds, you need to work on the area a few times. It doesn't matter how big your burner is. You'd have to actually set them on fire, which is NOT what the purpose of these are.So for example a good amount of nettles, you need to run the burner over the leaves to crackle them or wilt them. Over a few hours or a day, it will have wilted and you can work on more of the plants. So it does take a little more for a good bush of weeds, but worth it if you don't want to spray poisons.For small weeds, it can wilt them in a couple or three pass overs.Make sure you actually pull the roots though at some point to stop it trying to come back, depending on the type of weed. Some just wilt and die.It ignites well and the gas bottle it comes with has a good amount before it runs out.
