Review: It was easy to read. - I bought as a gift after having my friend see the size of the print and he could read it. I pointed out the captions of different passages, as they capture the attention of anyone not familiar with the Bible. If I did not already have a few Bibles of my own, I would purchase one of these.

REVISED - Great Modern Bible Version
Unfortunately, my original 5-star review must be changed. I have now purchased many MEV Bibles, and I must say that I thoroughly appeciate the MEV Bible. Yes, there are a few issues like some ghosting when it comes to text, and red lettering that needs to be darker like a Nelson publication. MY REAL COMPLAINT is that in personal email to some readers the publisher claimed that a 2nd edition with various fixes would be available in 2023. It is now 2024 and nothing has come forth. If you go to the publisher's website, you will find that purchasing any edition, meaning the 1st edition and the 2nd edition is basically impossible. Over and over, you will receive a website response that the product is not available or a famous 404 page error. There are now no responses to questions submitted to the publisher. They have apparently abandoned its website and are showing little or NO consideration for its readers. To have to write this type of review saddens me, but I must suggest that you search for another Bible version that is actively supported by its publisher. Feeling outright betrayed by the MEV publisher (Passio โ Charisma Media/Charisma Book Group), I have now started ordering versions published by other publishers, yet in a similar style.

Nice large sized print and easy to carry
Has a nice large print. The red letters are a nice shade (not pink). Itโs easy to carry. Looking forward to getting aquatinted with this version.

Love the bible.
I really enjoy the bible and it opens flat. Not much room for note-taking but it's a very good translation and seems strong and durable for a faux leather.

excellent bible
Overall, this is a great bible, large font makes it easy read. Interesting choice to call the Syrians - Arameans, to be consistent they could have used Mitsrites instead of Egyptians. Went to look for the maps in the end of the book and there were none, none if the front either. That is actually my biggest issue with this bible - no maps.

YES!!!!! WE'LL GO WITH THIS ONE!
Our Church was looking for a new pew bible. This translation is unique, based on the KJV and the same manuscripts--Received Text. Ideal; uncorrupted. But the print of the cheaper, standard size blue-and-white edition was far too small. This large print edition more than rectifies that issue, as it is pretty large--larger than we really need but it will serve us well, as we are a church with many elderly people. They certainly can't complain! If I remember correctly the smaller one mentioned above had an 8-point font and this one has a 12. A 10 point font would have been adequate. I understand that this is a brand new version and the options at the moment are limited. We may well see all sorts of other editions coming out in due course. But for our church we're going with this one and we're happy to do so. As for the actual presentation, this is very pleasant. The general appearance is stylish and the gilt edging gives it a classy look. Red letter, short book intros, concordance, a red marker ribbon--all nice touches. In short, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Reading clarity
This seems to be a very well made Bible. The print size is 12point and clear. Most Bibles suffer from some shadowing from the next page but I haven't found that to be off putting. Lift the page you are reading by putting a finger or two under it and it will be even clearer; or you can slip a piece of dark grey or dull white paper under it and the print will be clearer. I don't find that to be necessary. However, if you are thinking of buying the 14 point version, the print size looks no bigger and is possibly smaller; (but the spacing is relatively wider). This is because in the printing world there are two standard point sizes and one is around twice the height of the other. You can check out print size samples on 'christianbook.com' .

Almost perfect, but not quite
I like this bible very much. A faithful translation of the received Greek text. It is excellent quality paper. The faux-leather is very good quality and has a nice feel, and the binding is also good, allowing for the page to remain open when it is laid on a desk. One thing to note, for you perfectionists out there. There is a typo in 2 Corinthians 2:17. This does not bother me, as I know what it should say. If it will bother you, move on.
