Ahhhh!
I love this product! I use it to sooth my sore muscles after a work out. Just a quick 60 seconds in the microwave and it warms me up after being out in -20C weather!

Better with age, great for headaches
Okay listen, when you first get these and heat them up, they smell like a barnyard. It’s, not great. Well I think they smell like a barnyard. My wife thinks they smell like sausage, so that whole situation is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ the smell was so strong the first couple of uses I seriously considered returning them. But after a few uses the odor subsides significantly, and these retain heat better than any similar product I’ve used filled with beads or rice, and they get warmer than any heating pad. I sometimes get terrible tension headaches and I can’t use ibuprofen. Every other painkiller in the market does nothing for them and sometimes they can last several days and are unrelenting. This things are my best tool for getting those headaches to subside.

I CAN'T BE WITHOUT MINE!
This is my second purchase. I have spinal stenosis, and when I have a flare up I pull out these wraps, put them in the microwave and know I will have some relief. I use one on my neck and one on the base of my spine. They don't stop the pain, but they do relax muscles and joints, and make it easier to perform my daily routine. They are also great when I want to sooth muscles after physical therapy. They do have an earthy aroma, it's not bad and reminiscent of burning sticks. For me it's comforting because I know relief is on the way. As the pad cools the smell lessens and it isn't noticeable when you store them. Chronic pain sucks. If I could wrap my body in a blanket of these pads I would. The wraps don't cure the pain, but they help me endure it!

QUALITY IS SUPERIOR; DESIGN COULD USE SOME IMPROVEMENT
The quality of the product is superior and it does what it was designed to do the short time it stays in position. If I turn my head, it moves or falls off of my neck. I have degenerative disc disease and bought this to give me several hours of relief, particularly while sleeping but it falls off should I change positions. An example: If I lie on my right side, the weight of the product causes it to fall off and leaves a space between my neck and the product. Should I turn on my left side, the product doesn't follow me and I later find it behind me. I have the same problem if I am walking around or sitting in a chair or recliner - only the back and sides of my neck have any contact with the product. I had an extra long shoe lace that I put in the groove between the two tubes and tied it in the front which brought the two ends closer together and filled in most of the gap between them. That was an improvement and increased the area covered. I suggest the manufacturer consider using a Velcro type closure to take the place of my shoe string.
