Purchased this to recover a wrench that I dropped down an aluminum channel. It was about 36" from the top and I had nothing on hand to retrieve it. I was at first disappointed, because the GrabbitsStick, while extendable with a rotating head, is not flexible and would not travel down inside the channel to the wrench because the opening to the channel is restricted. After thinking it through, I decided to see if the magnet would draw through the aluminum. So I placed the GrabbitStick magnet on the outside of the channel at the bottom ... success! I heard a gratifying thunk as the magnet grabbed the wrench on the other side. I was able to slide the wrench up the channel to the point where I could pluck it out with my fingers. Oh ... and two bolts came up with the wrench. A good plus. Recommend this to anyone trying to fetch anything magnetic. Beware, though - it's not flexible.

I love this little device! The magnet is super strong and the pole is long enough to use to pick up common pins that I drop on floor when sewing. Lots of uses for husband when fixing things, because screws and nails always fall into whatever project he is working on. The pole comes with a magnet, which I didn't realize and so bought a single magnet also. That one is now in husband's shop.

Good quality product that has a very powerful magnet. I fabricated a metal plate that I attached to the end of the probe. The shaft is strong and rigid.

I tried to post this review, but it said I needed a "star" rating before I could.Amazon, you owe me one star for this!!The magnet is surprisingly strong, no complaints there!But when you pay $20 for a magnet on a stick, you expect the stick to last more than five days.Used occasionally for a few days, the telescoping pole fell apart like the cheap piece of crap it is.I did NOT ask for a replacement, as I can find a much better one nearly ANYWHERE!Save your money.This is junk!!

Second cap I bought. Though the firstone is dtill working well. They fit so good, and don't fall off as you sleep. They arenot too tight either. Great purchase!

well made very useful for picking up metal objects unit does have a weight limit , the ability to pick up objects made of metal about 5-10 pds approx.
