A Great Transition to Nikon Mirrorless
I bought this adapter having recently purchased a Nikon Z fc. I already have a few Nikon F mount lenses and I wanted to use them on the new Z mount camera. The FTZII does exactly that, maintaining AF for all lenses from AF-S and newer. The fit is reassuringly tight and the lenses work perfectly. I have some AF-D lenses where the AF does not work, but that's fine. They manually focus beautifully. My AF-S work like a dream with no loss of speed or image quality. The finish is superb (not surprisingly from Nikon) and it complements both lenses and camera. I would definitely recommend the FTZII over the FTZ, purely because it does not have the tripod mount to get in the way of mounting a base plate on the camera. It also looks so much better!! Yes, it's expensive for what it is, but it's a quality Nikon item, that serves to extend the life of your F mount lenses as you venture into the new world of the Nikon Z mount. Very highly recommended.

(a lot) cheaper than replacing all your lenses
got this because my D750 was on its last legs so made the leap to a mirror less camera. the problem being all my lenses were f mount so rather than spending £1000s replacing them I bough this immensely useful tool. It is Nikon so has the quality you'd expect. It adds about an inch to the front of you camera body but isn't really noticeable! I have had absolutely no issues with it using both manual and auto focus on primary (macro) lenses and zooms

A money saver must have.
It's a no brainer really. In my case a Z mount camera and a handful of F-mount lenses begging to be used again. The only fly in the ointment is my Sigma lens which does not work with the adapter but all the Nikon ones are fine. Manual only with the Sigma, no auto focus etc. Of course this opens up the possibility to buy F-mount Nikon lenses to use.

It connects to my 'old' lenses and lets me use them on my new camera
I've just used it and it does the job!

extremely high quality adapter
The product comes inside a cardboard box; once opened, you'll see the product itself and some paper. This product works perfectly on my Nikon Z50, with my old AF-S lenses - I particularly love using the 40mm Micro lens with my new camera, it works perfectly and is very high quality. It lets me use autofocus on the new camera, too; very practical and helpful. Note - this product said "lens not recognised" when I first tested it. If you see this, you need to update the software on your camera. 100% recommend this product, extremely useful bit of kit

Does exactly as described. Highly recommended.
Work great in my new Z-mount mirrorless camera. No complaint. Highly recommended if you want to keep your F mount lenses for your mirrorless camera.

Great way to use older lenses on newer Z cameras
The upgraded version of the original FTZ adapter. It's smaller and doesn't have the tripod mount on the bottom (which had a reputation for splitting on the original). Great way to use original AF lenses on Z camera. There are third party clones filter less but I prefer thence Nikon original

It works but.
It works Ok but does result in your old lenses being significantly longer which can result in the combination being unbalanced. If you can afford it upgrading your lenses is a better option.

Essential Tool for Nikon Z Users!
I recently picked up the Nikon FTZ II adapter to pair my beloved F-mount lenses with my Z-mount camera, and I'm thoroughly impressed. This adapter is a game-changer for any Nikon shooter transitioning to mirrorless. The build quality is top-notch, with a robust construction that feels like it can handle years of use. It securely locks onto both the camera and lens, ensuring a stable connection. I've had no issues with wobbling or play between the components. One of the standout features for me is the autofocus performance. It's fast, accurate, and reliable. I was initially concerned about any potential lag, but the adapter keeps up seamlessly, allowing me to shoot confidently in various conditions. Exposure and metering are spot on, and I haven't noticed any aberrations or distortion introduced by the adapter. The optical quality is impressive, preserving the sharpness and clarity of my F-mount glass. The compact size and lightweight design make it easy to carry in my camera bag without adding unnecessary bulk. Plus, the included weather sealing adds an extra layer of protection when shooting in adverse conditions. Overall, the Nikon FTZ II adapter has become an indispensable tool in my photography arsenal. It allows me to fully utilize my existing F-mount lenses on my Z-mount camera, opening up a world of creative possibilities. If you're a Nikon user making the switch to mirrorless, this adapter is a must-have!

Works great on a Z5
A more expensive solution but maintains functionality of most older Nikkor lenses

Er macht genau was er soll, Qualität sehr gut. Nachtrag 02.07.23
