When I got my Buddy 50 scooter running again, I upgraded my kit to a nice full face motorcycle helmet, gloves, and jacket (yea I know full armor for a scoot is a bit overkill, but traffic in my area is getting reality stupid, even on side streets). After zipping around for awhile I began get a bit frustrated having to stop and readjust GPS on the iPhone for directions and removing gloves a answer calls etc. After some shopping on Amazon I can across the Fodsports FX6 S. It checked off all the box's of features I was looking for: weather proof, easy-to-use controls, Bluetooth, radio, etc.Unit came nicely pakaged with easy to read instructions. installation was straightforward, the only downside was the sticky pads for the mic and speakers was pretty weak had to use industrial grade tape to attach them.Setup was easy as was Bluetooth pairing. I didn't use the adhesive side strap mount. I got the plastic mount finally shoved inbetween the helmet liner and tightened the allen bolts. I put this on a half helmet so I had to install the side pockets for the speakers but got those in also and the speakers fit right in. I had no trouble with the sound out of either speaker (like some reviews I read, dunno what to tell ya). If I had to ding it, and this has nothing to do with the product, getting the microphone attached was a little challenge (only because I attached it to the helmet strap). I went out and Bluetoothed my phone right to it, played my SiriusXM music and worked fine. The real test was making a call. Put my phone on "Voice Control" (turned it on by going through the settings), said "Hey Siri, call *****. It did and he said he could hear me fine. I was going about 60 mph on a Harley Road King. He said if he had to rate my call from 1-10, he'd give it an 8. Said he could understand me and I could hear him fine above my noisy pipes (those damn Harleys, LOL).

This bluetooth communicator is useable with a nice feature set, but falls short in operation.I like that it included FM receiver, but in use it's not very sensitive and not grate range.Listening to anything through the included speakers works.. but at highway speeds you aren't going to get much clarity. Much more useable at speeds less than 60mph.The display is a nice touch i think? but in reality you're not going to read it while riding down the road, and it's so small it's hard to read when you are stopped.

The reception on the FM radio turns this into a 1 star unit for me as i like to ride with the radio a lot. It has the worst FM reception ever, nothing comes in clear it's like a bad radio with no antenna. I bought this for a helmet that didn't have a system in it and i should have just spent the extra and bought another Cardo or Sena. I have both in other helmets and both have great radios. Would like to have my money back on this one.

I would have given this headset a 5 star review, but just one small detail for me.So, this is my second FODSPORT product that I have own. The prior one I have is the FX8, and I have had it for 2 years. It is AMMMAAZING!! This one FX6S is great to as well. Has the upgraded 40mm (versus the standard 30mm drivers) speakers that you would have to pay extra to get!Connecting the device to my MP3 players and phone are a breeze, but the only problem that I have is the volume control. There isn't one on the headset. The dial that is on controls the forward and skip feature. The only way to control the volume is to pull out the device the music is coming from and manually control it from there.But other than that, it is great!

Superior quality, easy to install, a facilitator of those motorcycles that we like music while we enjoy our rides on the motorcycle. For those of us who talk while we set up and do business, we are connected. those of the fm is Great. I love this product
