I have been trying to find a expandable hose for years. I started with the original "as seen on TV" hose with the plastic connectors. Moved on to the improved model with the metal connectors and a few more from other suppliers. They all failed in one way or another inside six months. I really like the idea, the hose is light and flexible. Now they say that stupid is trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results.I was just about to give up on these hoses when I saw the "world's strongest expandable hose" here on Amazon. Forgetting the definition of stupid, I ordered one. It arrived last week and looked pretty good, black instead of green with sturdy looking brass connectors and a shut off vale. Could it be that I have finally found a reliable expanding hose? I hooked it up and it lasted all of four days before it started to leak. A pin hole leak in the middle of the hose turned it into a soaker hose. Screwed again.It is not like I abuse these things. I turn the hose off and release the pressure after every use. On this one it worked and than I turned it on the other morning and it leaked. It is advertised with a no questions asked return policy. I am about to try it out.Jan. 24 2017. As expected, Amazon refunded my money for this piece of junk with no problem. From the comment below, you can see that the supplier disagrees with my review. They say they are sending a replacement but I am not holding my breath.June 1 2017: Never received a replacement hose as promised below. These guys are a lost cause!

I ordered 2 and gave one to my daughter. Mine is great, but her's sprung a leak (major) the first time she used it. I sent a message to the manufacturer, asking for a replacement, on Amazon, and on the manufacturer's web site. That was a week ago, so far no response to either message.

this hose is very convenient as it curls up quickly & stores easily. Great for winter washing cars ... Best invention yet.

We used less than 10 times and it blew a hole in it and started leaking.

I am very happy with it, it is exactly what I was looking for. Very light weighted & easy to use.

With two brief uses in two months, one of them has multiple major leaks despite careful use, no exposure to sun or freezing weather. We are beyond the 30 day Amazon return window, so must rely on the manufacturer's 18 month warranty for reimbursement/replacement. It is simply a defective product. Please note: the photos are on concrete to show the defects. Both hoses were attached to a regular hose for "stretching", which was done on our lawn. The outer covers are unaffected, there is obviously a defect in the inner tube liner. We contacted Amazon and are waiting for the manufacturer to respond.

Love this hose. We have gone through the traditional hoses like crazy and they always seem to split and leak (or in my case spray). This hose is perfect cause when you shut it off it starts to shrink back down. The hose is made very durable so no worries about it breaking or getting damaged within a short amount of time. Love the brass shut off valve on it so that you can easily move the sprinkler around without fighting the shrinkage. Make sure that when you do move the sprinkler to watch it when you switch the valve back on cause you may end up spraying yourself in the face (yep forgot to tell the child that lol). We have been wanting to try one of these hoses out for some time to see if it would make things easier and boy does it. When you shut the water off and the hose shrinks down make sure that you drain the rest of the water out of it just to protect the hose even longer.
