I feel like these are the best made pin hinge made.

When you order a spare wing for a Hanger 9, 10cc Valiant, it does not come with hardware. These hinge points are almost exactly what comes with the kit for attaching the flaps. Maybe a bit thicker, so I enlarged the holes with a 1/8 inch drill bit. I had to cut about 3/16 or so off one leg to fit the shallow aileron hole. But they work!

If you don't like (or trust) CA hinges, and find cutting slots for flat pinned nylon hinges to be a pain, hinge point style are the best option and come in a nice range of sizes. There are copies on the market, but the genuine Robart don't cost that much. I typically glue these in with 5-minute epoxy, and hope I'll never have to get one out (because it's not going to happen). The key is to put the epoxy in the hole, and not on the hinge's "steps". If you do manage to get even a little epoxy on the pin/hinge, use a small brush and get some isopropyl alcohol on it before it completely sets and work the hinge.

Any one who fly's RC Airplanes will really like this replacement hinge. The less expensive airplanes have a foam hinge point. They do brake. I have tried tape to repair the hinge and just doesn't work well. I discovered these replacement hinges here on Amazon and they work very well. All you need is an 1/8th drill bit and some foam glue. I also bought a Roberts hand held drill jig, (also sold here on Amazon) so the hole I was drilling was perfectly square. In other words bad hinge, great repair.

These are great for when you rc plane hinge line breaks off. I use these on a few planes of mine. Easy to install.
