Big enough for my high schooler?

Not big enough for books. This is a small carry on backpack.

Is this a too big for someone who is 4’11?

not at all. I purchased the white version, for my 13yr old son. He's about 5'0, 80lbs, and it doesn't bother his back (even with books, laptop, water bottle).
