I should start by saying that I've had multiple gymbosses and have found the past models to be terrible. they weren't sweatproof, the buttons were horribly tight and always hurt my fingers to program, they were chunky, i just disliked them. And I kept replacing them after they broke hoping that the next one would be the one to make it past 2 weeks (I know, bad life choices)! Finally, having learned my lesson (I'm a tough study, it took 3 tries), I decided I would use my iphone, but that's tiresome for a number of reasons (eg I listen to music so I have to keep looking at my phone for the interval change since I can't hear it, it sucks up iphone battery to have a timer constantly running, and it's cumbersome when running outside). So I gave in and decided to give this latest model a try, bc I really missed having a real deal interval timer. Boy am I glad I did; here are the highlights:1)Sweatproof: I sweat like nobody's business when I run (thanks pre-workout!), I know, super charming. But the fact of the matter is, so do a lot of you, so you're gonna want something that doesnt go wonky or all out break when exposed to your workout wetness. I keep this clipped to my tank strap and facing my shoulder, so it's practically marinating (again, totally charming, I know) and it's held up perfectly. And as an aside, I use it 5-6x/week and 30min-90min/time.2)Durable: I'm also crazy clumsy and have dropped this guy while on my bike outside, i've accidentally launched it across the gym and I've tripped and landed on it. Still ticking!3)Perfect size: small enough to keep in your palm or clip anywhere. but big enough to read the screen and menu. super light so you don't feel weighed down by anything extra when running.4)Programability: you can have as many intervals as you want AND save them (maybe a short interval high impact combo, a steady state with a few med length interval combo, a 5 interval for plyo combos, whatever you want!!). I love that you can save them and don't have to reprogram every time. And of course there is a straight up stopwatch feature.5)Ease: ok, i see some people complaining that it's hard to program. I found it easy, but I'm a child of the computer generation, raised on Ti82's and RPGs. I watched the youtube video of "how to basics" and then fiddled with it for like 15min. After that, it was cake. I can set up a multi interval set in less than a minute. I guess it depends on your level of comfort with stuff like that.6) Adorable: lots of cute color combos. love my lemon lime, reminds me there's always a mojito waiting for me in my future. So overall, yeah, I think this thing rocks and it's waaaaay better than the older models (if you're like me and pawing through reviews before throwing more cash at another gymboss, please rest assured, this is an upgrade). And it's definitely my first choice over using my phone or larger timers. I would recommend to anyone! Happy Gyming!

simple and powerful
i've used this everyday since i received it. i have to say, once you get used the programing and the learning curve... it's a great tool for your HIIT workouts.at first, i was used to their original gymboss and was surprised by all the new features. once i set up all the different timed workouts i needed, i was ready to be abused.the features are awesome...from tabata to 90s intervals to endless rounds.the more rugged case is nice, especially when you're working out in the wilderness.the clock feature is "nice" bonusmy only gripe is... the volume of the beeps are much lower than the original gymboss

Good so far.
I purchased this for a very specific reason. I needed a multi-interval timer in order to be able to do a particular indoor bicycle high intensity interval training workout without having to watch the video. I needed to do a warm-up of three minutes followed by 10 cycles of 30 seconds followed by a four-minute recovery session followed by another 10 cycles of 30 seconds followed by a three minute cool down. The instructions were a little intimidating at first but I watched a "slideshow" on the Gymboss website and it was surprisingly easy to set up for that as complex as that workout was. It doesn't seem like it is quite a sturdy is my previous gymbosses that I misplaced but the colors are really cool. I am not sure how well it will hold up but so far it is great. My old gym bosses lasted over 10 years and were still working when I lost them. I will update if anything changes but working great for me so far but I had a very specific need. I love being able to do the work out without having to watch the stupid video.

I love love love this timer
I love love love this timer. My trainer loves giving me my exercises by time instead of reps and this has made my gym time less strassfull. I can do just 1 time or as many as I need. Tabatas are a piece of cake now. This is actually the second one I get. I lost my first one 3 months after I learned to use it and I was so lost I couldn't do my workouts until I got a new one. I did have to go to youtube to learn how to use it because the instructions were so teeny tiny I couldn't read them but once I learned it there was no stopping me.

Great Interval Timer
I had an older GymBoss timer that I had been using, but the screen was starting to go after sweating on it during my long runs. This new timer is above and beyond what the old timers were. The ability to program in multiple different intervals for different workouts makes it much easier to get out the door instead of changing the times each day. It's also very easy to program and use, and to change to different workout programs even while working out. The vibration is also powerful enough to feel it from my armband so I don't have to get it as sweaty. After getting this timer, I told my family members they needed to upgrade as well and everyone else enjoys them as well. Well worth the money for the convenience and ease of use.

I prefer my smartphone
I purchased this to see if I would like it better than my interval trainer on my smart phone, I ended up returning it due to the fact it's kinda a pain in the but to navigate through the setting's and option's. If you still have a flip phone and demand to stay in the dinosaur era, you might like this thing. But if you have a droid or iphone there are much better options with an app.

Perfect for holding yoga poses and stretches
I wanted something that would make it easy for me to hold my yoga poses and stretches for a certain period of time and this was the perfect solution. For my initial session, I set it for 30 seconds for me to hold the pose with 2 seconds rest. I was able to relax into the poses instead of worrying about counting the time. The fact that it was green and it matches everything I own was just the icing on top.
