Fabulous pack. So light. The sizing is tricky. My torso is 18” (google how to measure for a hiking pack) but I’m a 00. I ordered a small and although the circumference was good, the hip belt sat above my hip bones. Like not touching. I sent this back and ordered the women’s facet version in a medium and it fits me PERFECT. a properly fitting pack changes everything. Make sure it’s perfect or you will be MISERABLE.

Excellent backpack. Very nearly perfect as a light weight but comfortable backpack. Would’ve liked a stretchier front pocket and a waterproof fabric but other than that I can’t complain.

This is an excellent backpack. Suitable for single overnight backpacking trips or multiple nights. Lightweight and very comfortable.

Well I wish I could have actually tested the pack out. I bought it and didn’t open it for a month. When I finally got home from a month long job, I opened the pack to find it was used. And not only that, the wrong size…. It was a medium in a large plastic bag. Smelled of sweat too.I own other Gregory packs for day hikes but wanted to lighten my load a bit. My current ULA pack seems to make my back sweat a lot, even in winter. But I got the pack on sale and can’t get an even exchange so I don’t really know how the pack is. But it seemed nice. I’m not giving a low star rating because it’s not the packs fault, it’s amazons fault.

A great pack, light weight, rides good on the back, good ventilation. The 58 liter focal weighs in about three pounds, it can carry 35lbs. Its is a great pack, kind of fragile choose your gear wisely for a light carry. Improvements, The pockets on the waste belt are kind of small zipper quality is questionable, fragile. The Load lifter straps are a weak point the should be larger, they carry the entire weight of the pack. An adjustable torso would be awesome to to make the pack ride even better. No place to place to hang my Garmin Explorer, not one daisy chain loop. The focal pack is a great pack, But there are corners that were cut, it could be redesigned for an even better pack with very small minor changes.
