IMO the best modern sci-fi series out right now. (3-body and DUNE as 2nd and 3rd).Good prints, but the plug for the Amazon series (also good) is kinda annoying.JC does a great job painting humanity as they try to cope with the unknown. Complex characters, tons of growth, fictional physics that tickles me as a physicist, and a diversity across the series that makes it feel like it's actually chronicallizing a lifetime. I hope I never live in times as interesting as these characters, but it's easy to get lost in the pages.

This book series is fantastic. I've listened to the audiobook but wanted physical copies so that I could go back and look up different things from the series. There is also a TV show that you can watch on Amazon prime. Would 100% recommend this series to anyone who likes a Sci-Fi book.

Though it might not be a special collected edition, it is a great set of brand-new hardcovers with all matching covers. The set was packaged very well, and since the price has been updated very comparably to what the previous reviewer demonstrated the combined value to be, this was an easy decision for me.

This is a scam. I received this set and it was all softcover books. Returned.

Paperback, not hardcover as it said. I paid $50 extra for hardcover and received paperback.

Content-wise, this series is excellent.However, I purchased this set and got all nine books in paperback format with next to no packing protection (a small piece of brown paper, and the books were covered in the flimsiest clear plastic wrapping you can imagine) in a box that was probably 2-3 times too big. No way that's worth the price being asked here.I started a return process, and hopefully the hardcover set will actually arrive.UPDATE: second set received, same as the first. Just buy the hardcover editions separately from somewhere else.Pick up the set if you can find it, but maybe not from here.
