Modern Ninjutsu: A Definitive Guide to the Tactics, Concepts, and Spirit of the Unconventional Combat Arts

Meh.
Obviously, by his own words, somebody who has had a sharp pointy thing pointed at him many times in his life. Or at least was too smart strategically to avoid fights. ???? The end was mostly a rant about socioeconomic differences and abuse of the state/government power. The early chapters were unoriginal but not wrong. Several assumptions made with out proof. I would not recommend this book. If it's the first book you ever read about application of ninjutsu techniques to modern world 3/5. Other than that 2/5

Atruly unique look at ninjutsu in a realistic worldly manner.
This book unlike many others does not try to impress one with the knowledge presented in it's pages and that is exactly why this book works. The author has done an excellent job in breaking down the essence of what makes the art of ninjutsu, the emphasis on the heart needed to not only to survive but thrive. This book though not a training manual can be utilized as such to develop spirit, focus, and drive to develop individual heart to become actualized human beings. I highly recommend this book for those beginners and masters alike seeking a new perspective on the beginning mysteries of the ninja and the art they live

The traditions and concepts of the Ancient Ninja are alive well.
I believe the concepts that made the ancient ninja formidable in their time, would be just as effective in this modern era. This book does an excellent job of demonstrating how the ninja of old would apply the same pragmatism to make the most of current knowledge and technology as is used by modern special forces and intelligence agencies. The importance of developing a high level character and personal values to attain your highest level of attainment is also emphasized.

Some good stuff here
Some good stuff here. But, I got annoyed after a while, between the author's racial rants and patting himself on the back. Neither of which fit in with or helped the narritive or instruction.

Good M.A. book but wanders
Well worth reading but much of the meat of the book wanders into unrelated personal political and social rants that arguably have little relation directly with the subject.

Nothing special
I'm always skeptical of writers of ninja books and after reading the previous reviews I decided to buy it. Although it is a different look at the same old ninja stuff of past authors, this author still finds a way to bring up his own personal politics instead of focusing on the topic. There should've been photos to help illustrate the teachings or even a how-to aspect to be trained instead of just all history related descriptions. All in all not a bad book., but it's nothing new for a student of these arts, "X-Kans", and it will go on the shelf and stay there.

Fantastic read
Having read and own most books on this subject released in the last 25yrs I can honestly say this is one of the best..Written from a fresh perspective by someone who has been in many different combat theatres..Thoroughly enjoyable

deludente
fatto bene l'esposizione dell'argomento con esempi e spiegazioni. ma mi aspettavo molto di più. non ha aggiunto assolutamente nulla di nuovo nelle mie conoscenze. forse solo un pò di inglese in più
