Reliable and Easy-to-Use Home Security Upgrade!
The Ring Alarm Glass Break Sensor 2-pack is an excellent addition to my home security system. Installation was a breeze—setting them up with the Ring app took just minutes, and they seamlessly integrated into my existing Ring Alarm setup. The sensors are incredibly sensitive yet accurate. They easily detect the sound of glass breaking while avoiding false alarms from other household noises, giving me peace of mind without unnecessary disruptions. I tested them after installation, and they performed flawlessly.I also appreciate the compact design, which allows them to blend discreetly into any room. The battery life seems excellent so far, and with two sensors in the pack, I was able to cover multiple areas of my home effectively. For anyone invested in the Ring ecosystem or looking to enhance their home security, these glass break sensors are a must-have. They provide reliable protection, are easy to use, and are a great value for the price. Highly recommended!

Handy Practical Device
This works as intended. We bought this because we have a back door that is complete glass. We have it sitting on a window sill. It has been triggered several times by our child dropping toys off her high chair. It just sends us a notification that the glass break sensor went off, it doesn’t make a noise or anything. I don’t know if that is a setting you can adjust or not. Very easy to use and practical. Nice when you have more ring devices. We have had no issues with ours. I would recommend.

Works very well
This product is really nice but extremely sensitive to sound which I guess is good. For example, if I turn on the alarm before I close my curtains, the system may think me closing my curtains is glass breaking. Why I gave those five stars because if something is sensitive as closing a curtain sets it off. Just imagine when actual glass breaks. This is a must if you have a sliding glass window, If burglars break your window but don't open the sliding glass, they can get in without triggering the alarm.

Triggers false alarms
Update: I was contacted directly by a Ring representative who worked with me after reading this review to find a solution that worked best for our family. I changed my review ranking from one star to 4 because of the customer service I received but not 5 because I still have to stay true to my experience with the original device itself. I think great customer service is enough to tell people to try it for themselves and maybe they’ll have no hiccups, but if you do, they care enough to help you fix it.————————————Original Review: I am going to start with Ring is sending a replacement device so my review could change or be updated but for now this is my experience with my first set of glass break sensors:I was actually really excited to see this product available. Alexa would provide this type of guarding for us but only when our alarm was armed “away” and we really wanted something for when we armed it “home” like when we are sleeping. We placed these sensors about 7-8 feet off the ground (important for later), at separate ends of our home. One night while my kids were sleeping and I was in bed the alarm started sounding which is a terrible way to woken up out of your sleep. It ended up being a false alarm triggered by a “Tamper” alert. When I went to look at the sensors none of them had fallen or anything and as mentioned above, you’d need a step stool at minimum to tamper with it. I troubleshot it and removed that one sensor off of the “home” mode while I just kept an eye on it for a few weeks. Two weeks later my other sensor started doing the same thing, fortunately, the alarm was off at the time. I removed the sensor from home mode as well and I’m glad I did because it continued to malfunction all through the night.Because this device started acting up on day 45, I was not able to return it for a refund based on the 30 day rule Amazon has and Ring won’t refund you, just replace the device which in any other case would suffice but this product gives us all anxiety now so not really the resolution we wanted. This has been my experience and we received this on October 15, 2023. -_-

These provide so much extra "insurance" and assurance when/if needed
We originally thought these glass breakage sensors had to be physically placed on each window/glass pane. But, when we had an installer setup the whole alarm/camera system, we learned they were only needed as one per room, since it operates on the sound of glass breakage rather than the vibration. I am mentioning this to help others, since we actually bought more than we needed. The installer mounted each glass breakage sensor in the center of each room on the ceiling. Of course, we haven't actually broken any windows or glass to test them... LOL... but, we just assume they will work based on the good reputation of Ring products. Also, as a backup, we purchased 2 panic buttons to have on opposite sides of the house... just as extra insurance.

Easy to install and great peace of mind
The lack of glass break sensors is what almost led me to pick a different brand of alarm, but I'm glad I waited and they released these. They are a bit bigger than most of the other sensors, but still small enough to tuck away. Setup is as simple as scanning the code, removing the battery tab, and mounting. For others saying it won't detect anything, by default it is in power saving mode that only detects when the alarm is set to away or home. If you want it to detect (but not trigger the alarm) when disarmed, you can go into the Mode Settings of the sensor and turn of power saving. I did that to test both of my sensors and both picked up perfectly. The sensors also report tamper back to the alarm when they are removed from the backing. As far as mounting, they can be attached with screws, the included sticky tape, or just laid on a surface. I chose to firmly mount mine so they can't be moved without setting off the tamper alert. The sensor is powered by 3 AA batteries that will be easy to change when needed.
