– Just For Men Control GX Grey Reducing Shampoo, Hair Dye Shampoo, 118ml

I bought this for my husband who (like most men of a certain age) has moved from the “older man with distinguished grey hair” stage to the “old man, full stop” stage. Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving the new look but he is less than happy!! So I decided to see if I could help. The bottle is easy to squeeze (not sure why another reviewer found it difficult) and easy to apply. Whilst they don’t recommend gloves (just as well otherwise you would have lost my husband at this stage), I would recommend their advice not to use your fingertips to rub it in as it can stain the nails slightly. On this note, my husband did drip a bit onto my waiting whites wash and I did end up with a brown stain on the white bedding (nice!) but this cane out in the second wash. Therefore be careful around clothing or white bath mats etc. It builds up over use and they recommend using until you get to the desired hair colour and then just maintain with the occasional wash. However, we decided this would be too obvious going from grey to brown so my husband uses it once a week and this has built up to the level we wanted over a month without being noticeably different to others. Excellent result in that we are both happy with the colour. The shampoo itself has no smell and cleans the hair well. Only negative is that you need quite a bit as it doesn’t lather at all. Good value for money as we only use it once a week, this would obviously be different if you were using it more regularly. This is the third bottle we’ve purchased so deserves 5 stars.

I’ve been using this product now for nearly two years after realising that my greying hair was making me look older than I feel! I didn’t want a black obvious “all over dye” so thought I’d give this a go. It took 3/4 weeks of shampooing 3 times a week before I noticed a difference. It’s subtle but noticeable. Work colleagues haven’t realised it’s dyed and have commented how I’m looking younger! I now do it 2 times a week to maintain. Colour at the sides is still quite grey but this is likely because I have my hair cut every 3 weeks and the sides are shaved to a 1 grade. Top is dark with a few grey hairs and blends brilliantly. Only giving 4 stars as you have to be careful to clean your hands and the shower area to avoid blackening on tiles or nails. You also have to linger in the shower for 3 mi s to allow it to work. Overall I would suggest go for it..,you won’t regret it and you will feel and look better! P.s. the shampoo is great quality and also makes your hair feel smooth and clean.

It works, but you may have to be patient. I didn't really notice much difference if any for the first maybe 3 or 4 days, but after a week of use I could definitely tell the difference, even if it was just dulling down the grey in certain clusters (I miss the days where they were individual hairs rather than clusters, but alas...) and after 2 weeks of use (from the same initial bottle) the difference is very noticeable to me and wouldn't be blindingly obvious to others as I was worried about. I'd definitely recommend for the gradual approach, it does what it says in my experience.

I bought this with limited expectations. I’m age 49 have salt and pepper hair and this said it gradually changes your hair darker. I have done 5 washes as per instructions and my hair has turned noticeably darker but at a gradual rate so it doesn’t look like I have dyed my hair in one The more I use it the more darker my hair is going and it has now turned the white into a dark grey and it is getting darker with each wash. It’s important to know it doesn’t totally darken your hair and remove all grey and white which is what I want it gives a darker more natural look After 5 washes my wife said to me the other night your hair looks a lot darker but it looks natural and she is a hairdresser with nearly 30 years experience and is very impressed with the gradual change. Once you reach your desired look you just alternate it every other wash and don’t be fooled by the size it is going a long way, a small palm size blob is plenty I have thick hair on top and graded short sides it is covering top and sides very evenly

I tried this shampoo on my dark brown hair, and while it did darken things slightly, the results were mixed. It seems to work best on hairs that are just starting to lose pigment, those lighter brown or slightly orangey strands did return to a darker shade after a few uses. However, fully white hairs didn’t change at all, so for those you’d still need a proper dye. Overall, it’s not fully what I expected...there is some effect, but it’s subtle. Considering the price, I’d probably go for a different option next time.

Love this S&S, the product does exactly as it “says on the tin”. Use every three washes to keep a little grey in the hair to make it look more natural. Highly recommended purchase

Not a bad product, definitely more subtle than other products which make sit less obvious. As others have said change in product formula is not as good as previously - but I do prefer this as a shampoo option, leaves minimal of any stains.

Definitely works, give it about 2 weeks , using it 3 times a week for a month now, i was grey with dark blonde, but hair Definitely more dark now but all outer grey gone and i look 3 months younger now 🤣🤣🤣, i Definitely recommend joking aside

Reducing grey hair shampoo works well and has nice smell

Ich habe an den Seiten und im Haupthaar einige Graue Haare. Um die wegzubekommen habe ich immer die Tönung von Schwarzkopf benutzt. Es war nervig und etwas zeitaufwendig, aber hat für viele Wochen das graue abgedeckt. Nun habe ich dieses Shampoo auf Empfehlung bestellt um es zu testen. Ich bin echt begeistert!!! Vielleicht schimmert minimal was gräuliches durch, aber da muss man schon sehr genau hingucken. Ich hätte nie so eine Top Grauabdeckung erwartet und bin mehr als zufrieden. Ich werde es wieder bestellen. Tönung oder Färbung braucht man nicht mehr. Einzige Makel ist, das man auf seine Fingernägel aufpassen muss, da sie dunkel werden. Ich spüle sie nach dem schnellen einmassieren immer schnell mit Seife ab.
