We all look for good quality products that last a long time, especially with wood. We all hate the cheap particle board crap, however this is not that. It’s solid wood and well crafted. I was nervous to purchase this product, but it was worth the price. So I use it as a keepsake heirloom box. I have no doubts this box will last my family decades.

This is a nice practical box. I put a nice finish on it.

Simple, light weight, well made. Just what I was looking for to tuck electronics & remotes from view in cabin.

Compared to most other boxes sold on Amazon in a similar size range, this one in particular is much deeper, when you combine the interior dimensions of the lid and the rest of the box. It is still small enough that you do not have to treat it as a chest and leave it sitting on the floor like major furniture. You can tuck it away on a shelf or under your desk without it getting in the way, and the way the wood is joined looks very nice. In terms of the wood itself, superficial rough patches or splinters in a few spots; the wood is not especially heavy or thick, and I would treat the box with care (Don't drop it or carelessly bang it into things) but it's well-made enough and durable. The interior, in particular, had a few odd spots where there was some glue, but this seems minor and I would never call it careless in application--it looks like there was fair effort to remove excess. Hinges are cheaper hardware, so the lid should be opened gently; locks seem to work pretty well. While I would not treat this box as a finished product, if you get some sandpaper and go over it, it looks lovely with a nice stain and sealer, and I use mine for holding seed packets vertically, so I can read them. The closest thing I can find to hold seed packets on the market are metal tins or plastic tubs, and I really wanted a wooden box. This is big enough to hold larger seed packets ordered from certain specialty nurseries, on top of the common ones you see from stores and their standard size. I keep it tucked under my computer desk--it is visible, so I am happy that it looks so nice when finished.

This was for my daughter’s senior year. They do a little senior box and paint it up. Perfect size what she needed.

I purchased this to make a hand-painted treasure chest for my grandson. I was pleased with the quality of the wood finish and the hardware. The finger joints give it a hand-made appearance.

Good square corners. Inexpensive box that is easy to stain or paint. I use them for sidearm display cases. I line them with black foam panels.

Would have been perfect but it arrived broken.

This wood box is larger than what I figured, but it is also beautiful, I will have enough place to put all what I want. I like this product so much.

This is a set of wooden boxes that can be used as the basis for a craft project, or just used as is for basic storage. The wood is very soft but the boxes do feel reasonably sturdy, with decent metal hinges and latches. One of my boxes has a slight split in the wood on the bottom panel, where a slight gap is visible-- not the end of the world for my uses, but a bit of a bummer nonetheless. As received, the boxes had a lot of fine wood dust stuck to it all around, so be ready to give it a vacuuming or a quick rinse.

A good solid box

Perfect! They’re beautiful and just what I’m looking for. Well worth my money for the size, material and quality. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars it on 1 of the 2 boxes I got had a notable dent in the top of the lid, as well as some excessive wood glue that seems to be filling a chipped corner. Some of the glue flaked off that corner. I have plenty of experience with woodworking, so I have the materials and ability to hide these very effectively. However it still would be nice if next time I can get one without having to do the extra work. Price is worth it though.

Pine, as expected, and unfinished as expected. None of that is the problem. Wife was looking forward to giving a nice light sanding, and finishing with her favourite varnish. Unfortunately, the metal hinges and clasps are installed incredibly sloppy, obviously not level, and the lid is not even aligned! (See photos) She will need to totally remove these fittings and reinstall them in a different place, or seal/fill and re-do the drilling. "Unfinished" -- They weren't kidding. I would pass on this unless you plan to take the fittings off.
