I have been looking for a work top hob for a while, when I had my kitchen up dated I thought I would not have a built in hob as I don't have much work surface that was not the best idea I had ! I tried three different types of portable hobs but found them hard to control. This is easy to operate and it maintains a low simmer which the other didn't ,it heats up quickly is easy to clean just a damp cloth and it also looks good. When it has cooled down I pop it in a cupboard job done.

Best hotplate I've owned. Very powerful and heat settings actually work - from simmer to boiling. Easy to keep clean, and attractive to look at. Well worth the price.

Heats quickly , does what’s required at a fair price ,

Bought this as I've started cooking restaurant style curry (BIR) and my hob is electric but is no good for heating up quickly and it has cold, spots which is useless for using aluminium pans and cooking quickly. My aluminium frying pan is 26cm base and even tho that's slightly big for the plate, it still worked perfectly well.This hotplate heats up super fast and has a light so you know when it turns off when it reaches temperature.Not only does it heat fast but it gets extremely hot, also better than my antique hob.I used it for the first time yesterday and used it multiple times cooking quite a few different curries and it was excellent.I pre heated it for 10 minutes when I first opened it but didn't notice any smells from it burning off any residue. It's a great hotplate and I'm happy with it altho I've only used it for 1 day but it was on for a good few hours altogether.I can't comment on long simmering for stocks or soups etc but I'm sure it'll perform just as well at low temperatures.

This product is not fit for purpose only used twice and left side hotplate has completely cracked and is unusable and dangerous, should be removed from sale immediately before someone is seriously injured, will be reporting seller for selling unfit product

Great size and works well

Overall - very good for cooking but very BAD for CHAPATI MAKING!- It would be helpful to make the DIALS of a different material as they too are stainless steel and get very warm to touch, BE WARNED, when the burners are on the highest temperature.- At the fullest, highest temperature, the light repeatedly goes off then on to indicate cooling down and warming up - a very good safety feature. However, this hinders chapati making which requires constant heat when flipping over the sides for 30 seconds to ensure even cooking. Unfortunately, the temperature fluctuations waste time and produce very poor, uneven, cooked chapatis - so I'm not entirely happy.
