Great Quality Blade
I've used it for a couple weeks now, several times a week, for maybe half an hour, and I've never been let down. Some people say it's too heavy, but it's only a little heavier than my last machete and I've never been fatigued by it. I cleared maybe half a mile so far through thick brush. It was flawless with anything from tall grass to saplings maybe two inches wide. One of the best things about this machete is the quality of the blade. There's stainless steel, high carbon steel, and then high carbon stainless steel, each with different qualities. I don't have time to explain the differences but this blade seems to be high carbon stainless steel due to how it keeps it's edge, it's weight, and how it never rusts.Due to my terrain, the blade has bounced off a couple hidden rocks when clearing low brush (causing me to wince each time). This has resulted in some dents, but nothing major, and definitely not taking anything away from the blade's effectiveness.I did use the saw-edge a couple times and was very pleased with it. It's actually a very well forged, well serrated saw that goes through solid oak pretty quickly. Every time I use it sawdust goes EVERYWHERE, but that just shows how effective it is.The only drawback is the handle. I got a few blisters due to how the plastic is moulded - blisters which I never got with my old machete, knives, shovel, or axe, despite hours of use with each. I got similar blisters with a hatchet I used for a while, so I guess it's just normal with a new tool. Still a 5 star tool.

Like it
This is a very good blade for the money. I sanded off and blacked out country of origin as I didn't want to see it. The snake was fine for me. The sheath was OK, except the snap closer is too short, although it does work if you move the handle to thinnest part.I always smooth the rough cut blade bevel. This machete was sharp, except the last half inch of the cut, but that part is not used so it does not matter much.Box was damaged in shipment and of coarse it was on the pointy end. The blade was OK, thank goodness. This is worth the money.

This is a really great machete. The balance is just right
This is a really great machete. The balance is just right, the handle is very comfortable, and the blade is stout. I really like it. It isn't *perfect*, but I suppose nothing is.Caveat emptor: The blade is *NOT* bowie-sharpened on the back, unlike what's shown in one of the pictures. The sheath is actually relatively nice, although the lower of the two buckles doesn't need to exist, and the sheath would hold the blade more sturdily if the higher of the two buckles was flush with the mouth of the sheath. I plan to make a leather sheath for this at some point, though, so this is relatively moot for me.Caveat emptor: The saw blade on the back is not sharp, and the spikes are a fair bit irregular. Also, one of the 6 screws in the handle came stripped. And it comes with a long length of cord (not even paracord, at that) tied to the eyelet at the pommel. It's annoying, and you'll probably want to detach it.

Sturdy and good chopper! Great machete for the price
I saw some really crappy reviews on this machete, but I have to say, after using it 3 times in some heavy heavy brush, it’s doing fantastic. Did I expect it to be as strong as a samurai sword?... nope! Did I pay as much as I would for a sword?... not even close! The blade hasn’t bent, warped, or chipped and I’ve cut down several 4” diameter trees. It doesn’t stay sharp, but not machete I’ve ever had stays sharp when cutting trees and hardwood limbs. The handle is sturdy and comfortable. The saw built into the spine cuts decent. It could be a little more aggressive on the spine, but it works.

Solid machete
Came reasonably sharp. Works great. A little on the heavy side which has it's pros and cons. A heavier machete blade works better but it's more tiring to swing if your spending more than a half hour swinging it through thick brush.I like it for the price. Would by it again.

I can say it is better than some
Ok, I read a lot of reviews on this item and thought it wold meet my needs. Well, I can say it is better than some, but I wouldn't call this a true, full tang blade, the handel stops a little short of the end of the handle. Also the handle has a small cheap feeling rattle in it and it is struggled to cut its way though a 1/2 inch branch. On the good side, the blade is fairly think and strong, the edge isn't so sharpe that it will bend. The sheath is at least decent. For the price I would say it is an ok buy.
