ASR Outdoor Micro EDC Ceramic Striker Survival Fire Starter - Create Sparks Emergency Survival Tool

Modern ceramics are truly amazing. They can be created with just about whatever physical characteristics a vendor can specify. These strikers have very crisp 90° edges and are both rigid and durable. If these were made of steel, their edges would wear down fairly quickly and they would tend to bend. These ceramic strikers have shown no such wear after many uses. If I just had to find something to complain about, people with large hands (like mine) won't find much surface area to grip. I've successfully used these strikers many times in various conditions, but I wouldn't mind if they were maybe 50% wider and longer.

Super small but work really well. Tried it out on a RatMatch and a full size Ferro rod and it produces a good amount of spark from both. Put it on some shock cord with the Esse RatMatch.

Top / main description text says “2 PACK” regardless if it defaults to the single pack option below. Text never changes. Misleading and kind of scammy. Should not say “2 PACK” on top of you’re only getting 1. I was expecting 2 because of the main item description but only got 1. Would not buy again.

Fantastic strikers, big sparks with lingering embers with a ferro rod. Ferro not included. They are zipper pulls, so very small and inconspicuous.

These things work, fantastic! I tried it on four different sizes of feral rods, and it created spark from the very first touch. I would highly recommend them, and they are well worth the money!

These are ceramic STRIKERS - NOT ferro-impregnated ceramic as I had thought. My bad but the ad was not tremendously clear so be advised. Also they are VERY tiny. Not sure if that is a plus or a minus. Worthwhile? NO. Can't really figure what use these things would be as any steel item will work as a striker. Biggest complaint - Package was supposed to contain 2, but only contained 1 striker. making this a staggeringly overpriced item.

I love that I can hang this on my compass lanyard without messing up the compass. My only problem is that the picture shows two strikers and I didn't notice that the ad says it only comes with one until I went back and looked after I received just one and thought there was some mistake. Buyer beware, surely, but I think the picture is misleading and I was quite annoyed because it definitely influenced my purchase decision. However, the product itself seems good.
