These are not dry roasted; they are roasted with cottonseed/peanut oil. To me they taste somewhat rancid, but that may just be the oil. Farm Fresh also produces dry roasted cashews which to me taste better. If you don't want oil, look for the Farm Fresh cashews that say "freshly dry roasted," also for sale on Amazon.

This is the third roasted unsalted cashews I have bought from the Amazon website and so far it has the best taste yet. Cashews tend to have bruises and these hardly have any.

My favorite snack is a handful of nuts. I particularly like cashews, although, they often have a disappointingly stale taste. These arrived quickly after ordered and, as their name implies, are deliciously fresh. I'll be reordering soon.

I loved the idea that cashews that are salt-free could be roasted. However, I did not realize that roasting would make a difference in taste. I would not recommend these to those who care about taste. They might be OK as a baking or cooking cashew. I bought them to snack on. I am not planning to buy any more.
