I got these lights to have as mood lighting/ reading lights. I originally bought another one from a different seller with the same cotton ball type of light and basically the same size of balls, and they were great but I didn’t realize were battery operated only and they sucked the life out of the AA batteries, so I went on a hunt and found these ones which are battery or USB operated. I bought two of them because I figured one wouldn’t be long enough for what I wanted and also the other reviews said they weren’t bright enough with just one, and I must say I am beyond happy with my purchase. I got them a little over a month ago and I do have two nightstands on either side of my bed with lamps that are able to hook up the USB ports so that it’s very easy to turn them on and off. The ball size is small yes, but with two of them I have had no problems with it being not bright enough. I haven’t tried the battery life on them but for the USB input, I’ve left them on for hours and hours and usually have them on every night for several hours too and they’re still doing great. They are cheap enough where you can get two and get as much brightness to be able to fully read or have a back light, I use my kindle on a low brightness level and the lights really make it easy on my eyes. I put them over my bed and made a little crappy attempt to make them look “fairy” esque lol but I think it looks cute but it’s mainly just for me, I got two so that they could stretch above my bed and start and end on either sides of my night stands. They also have a blinking option which I’ve never used since I’m not trying to have a rave in my room but I mean it could be cool to have that in a different setting. They are for sure comforting and I’m really happy I bought them and decided to get two right off the bat, they are exactly what I wanted.
