Totally necessary, and included with the Hoyer (hoist).
Very sturdy. Has an opening for using the toilet. Has multiple height attachment loops so that you can lift the patient in the sitting position or laying down, and a few in between. It's just a little rough on the skin, but not too bad as it is only used for a few minutes at a time. I can't say you should buy it since it was included with our Hoyer, but it seems like a good one.

Worked better than one sent with Hoyer
from hospice. That one was wrong size. Will be modifying this put a "flap" over hole with velcro to keep covered until needed. Mom is a large lady and butt hangs out terribly when lifting. Is creating sores. Should be a better way.
