Columbia Women's Newton Ridge Plus Waterproof Amped Hiking Boot

I purchased 3 pairs of these boots for myself and my girls. We went on an adventure with these boots to Big Horn Wyoming. We had climbed to West Tensleep Lake to Misty Moon which was incredible insane but with these boots the ankle support and availability to keep water out not that we had much that day helped keep our toes dry and warm. They didn’t keep mud on them and get super heavy which I was very happy about! My girls enjoyed and took pride in our hike. On our way off the trial we hiked 4 miles out of off and on hail and rain the boots did great. There was a point when we had to cross heavy rushing waters and rocks and it was not worth taking off the boots for they held in the water but I was thankful to have them on. The size was true and so were these boots!!

I’m not a big reviewer, but I’ve got to give props to these shoes!! I have an upcoming trip to Newfoundland and we will do some hiking so I needed some hiking boots. I’m usually a little apprehensive about buying shoes online but the reviews were so good (and it was Columbia) so I decided to give these a try. When they arrived, I took them out for a spin to break them in a bit before the trip and found out, there was absolutely no need.! The shoes are completely comfortable directly from the box. They didn’t look too high in the photo but they do an excellent job supporting my ankle, a problem area for me. If you were hesitating at all, just do it. I am so happy I bought them!

i love these boots! i’m a camp counselor and they are perfect for hiking the mountain and staying dry on wet grass and through creeks/puddles. not only are they practical, but they’re super cute and stylish too. i will say that i measured my foot and using the size chart i ordered a 7.5 which is slightly big, so i would recommend sizing down a half size from what you measure to be

Purchased the boots for a trip to Alaska. Wore them all day on some of the tours and they were extremely comfortable, warm, and kept my feet dry. Only drawback is that they have a rubber odor that is pretty strong when you first take them out of the box. Maybe, my nose is just sensitive. I left them in the garage for a couple of weeks to let them air out. Still had some odor, but by the end of the trip is was not as bad. Except for the odor the were perfect.

As a wide flat footed 29 yr old woman, I have actively avoided purchasing "wide" shoes due to not liking their aesthetic. These shoes though are beautiful, functional, and incredibly comfortable. From the moment I put them on they felt like I'd been wearing them in for weeks. My flat foot was able to spread out perfectly in the toe box with a little bit of extra room that leads to a great comfortable fit. I 've used them for neighborhood walks, technical hikes climbing ladders, cycling, and just everyday concrete jungle walking downtown. The laces are great, I love the hooks at the top which make it super easy to get on and off. While I generally prefer soles with a better "boardfeel" or flexibility, I haven't felt any discomfort from the lack thereof in this rigid soled shoe. Overall, would definitely recommend this shoe for anyone looking for a <$100 boot.

Seriously. So. Comfortable. Warm but not chunky or bulky. Padding hugs and supports in the ankles. Lighter than normal work boots and better support than most comparably priced. Easy to clean with just a damp cloth. Been wearing for about a month and still love them just as much as the first time I tried them on. So glad I found these, can’t wait for the cold weather to come back so I can buy a cuter pair for other than work! Would rather wear them than my New Bal sneakers on the weekends. I wear a nine 1/2 wide and they made my feet look so cute and small. True to size & fit. Especially love the red laces!

Wore these only once prior to my Yosemite trip ona dog walk to “break in”. Read about a million reviews and these are it!! Kept my feet dry up the mist trail no issues slipping comfortable after 10 mile day! Worth every penny not to mention how many people I saw had these on at YNP!! No break in period I listened to reviews and sized up half a size to 7.5 and had absolutely no issues!

So comfortable! No breaking-in period for me! I took these to Portugal to hike volcanoes and walked for many hours in total comfort! I'm a true size 9 (or French size 40) and I took the advice of other reviews and I ordered a 9.5 (europe 40.5) and they fit great. My true size would have been a tad small so I'm glad I ordered half a size up. I may buy a second pair!
