How do I prepare a new cartridge for installation into the water pitcher?

my last filter is stuck. any advice on getting it out?

Take out the water fill container from the pitcher. Turn it upside down & tap. It should release. If not, use a very thin knife, insert a small ways & that might break the vacuum it’s created.

Can this filter be used in a Brita and does it remove fluoride?

I don’t know about the Brita, I have the pitcher it’s made for and I’m on well water so fluoride is not something we need to worry about
