As a used book, it is a little old but still in good condition. The lessons and practice in the book are very helpful, especially its grammar, clear and detail. It is worth the price much more.

Really great tips and guidelines to follow if you want to improve how you write! The book itself is very well organized and even offers visuals in the form of various graphic organizers to help the reader along. It also contains some review test at the end of each chapter, which helps the reader practice and apply what they've just read for better retention of the material. Highly recommended!

I bought this for a pre-college level ESL class that I teach. It had handy tips and activity ideas, but I ended up not really using it for the specific info in the book that often. Like most texts, it tends to have examples of boring things that most people don't say every day and I want my classes to be interesting. But the info in the book was good.
