i thought we will never have a peaceful walk with our 7 month gsd as he always pulls and jumps everytime we go for a walk. thankfully, this prong collar from HS really works wonders🙏 now he is so calm and we use it for training as well. Just make sure to see youtube videos on how to use and guidance from dog trainers is very important.

This is an excellent prong collar. I was reluctant to get a prong collar, always thought they looked cruel. But my dog trainer recommended one, and this one in particular because of the high quality ... every prong is smoothed so there are no sharp edges! Prior to getting this collar, I could barely walk my dog, he pulled, he lunged at bunnies, he just wasn't pleasant to walk with at all. First time out with this collar, he walked perfectly! I very rarely have to give him a little snap to remind him to stay with me, and now our walks are so pleasant! I could not be happier with this collar! It costs bit more than most, but for the quality and the comfort for my dog (NO rough pointy bits on the end of the prongs, not cruel!), it is WELL worth the cost! Changed our lives ... now we walk more because it's now a joy and no longer a chore. We get out and walk more ... good for me, good for my dog! THIS prong collar is humane and best of all, it WORKS! I highly recommend this collar!

95% improvement for my 70 lb puppy when walking. She immediately understood that staying close meant no pressure. I tried a harness but that didn’t get her attention…she is like those cartoons that say “squirrel” when nothing, not commands nor treats/toys can refocus her attention back to me.Very important…watch YouTube to see how to use correctly. It is just a quick light jerk release to just get their attention Also lots of treats for when your puppy/dog is getting used to this collar. I’m around 70 yrs old and my puppy pulled me down when we first got her because she lunged on a regular leash. This leash really is a game changer! I feel much safer because she no longer lunges. I highly recommend this collar. It is pricy but it us well made.One more note…I don’t have to use it all the time. She is learning to heal without having the prong collar on. This is definitely the best no pull collar. I bought another one with cloth instead of the chain that tightened and loosened. This one releases very easy which is extremely important. I did end up getting one that I think is a bit thick/ big for my golden retriever. I wish it was a little thinner and lighter like my golden doodle’s smaller collar. If I could do it again I would go with a smaller pronged collar and just add links. That’s just my choice.I have a sprenger for the other dog as well which is the brand our trainer said is the only one she trusts.The only issue I have with this one is that the black sliding piece falls off. I’m not sure if it’s a defect with this one or how it’s made. I purchased the snap on piece for the smaller sprenger collar we already had, and that one does not have the same issue. I am a little concerned we may lose the cover (which simply works to prevent the button from accidentally getting pressed. I highly recommend this brand with the chain as opposed to a cloth

This is an excellent collar. The clasp makes it super easy to put on and take off. The clasp has a cover over it to prevent accidently pushing it and taking it off - that would be hard to do anyway. The cover is not attached, though --- so everytime you take the collar on and off you have to be careful that the cover does not slide off the collar or else you will lose it very easily. This type of clasp is MUCH better than the other "quick release" versions because those types are notorious for spontaneously snapping open. I have had this one for several months now and it has never once accident come off. The herm springer adds a great training tool to the prong collar to help train your dog on leash. I highly recommend this collar to use as a training collar while walking on leash. I would hope anyone buying it would not keep this on their dog unsupervised or for an extended period of time beyond training, though.
