Q: Are these shoes suited for cold weather/snow?

These are great for any weather. Rain, snow, mud, etc. Great traction on any terrain and easy to tighten on the go with the one-cord setup. They don’t really keep my feet any warmer than other shoes, as far as I can tell... I just use heavier socks. These actually are waterproof, unless you go ankle deep in water. Do it!!!

Q: Can the insoles be removed and replaced with orthotics

The insole feels like it's glued in so I just laid the orthotic in over it! The arch support of the shoe is lacking and I feel the orthotic insert is helpful! Great shoe totally waterproof!!

Q: Can they be put in the washer ?

Have owned 5 pairs of these - been through the washer quite a few times with no ill effect.
