These was a great adapter for my trip out to Japan, honestly even ignoring the 3 prong plug just buying it to have two usb ports was incredibly convenient. Absolute fantastic price to instantly turn any outlet in your hotel to a 2 usb charging port.

Great for Travel
I used this when I studied abroad in Japan, and it was a life saver if outlets around didn't work with my devices. You can get away with plugging in two-prong things into pretty much any Japanese outlet, but if you have something bigger with 3 prongs (like my laptop charger), you will need this! One thing I found was that it gets pretty hot after a while, but it doesn't seem to be dangerously so. I recommend this for the money.
