Impressive mobility chair
This is one very impressive mobility chair. It comes well packaged, and the hardest part about setting it up is getting it out of the well padded shipping box. Once you get it out, simply unfold it, remove all of the protective packing material, install the hand controller, seat back and seat cushion (mere minutes), and you are ready to go. Battery charging is very easy. In use, it is very maneuverable and responsive. 15 minutes in the driveway was enough for my wife to get a good feel for it and gain some confidence. We have since used it to go to restaurants, public parks, and other similar activities and my wife just loves it. It fits very nicely in the back of our SUV, and once out of the car, it can be unfolded and ready to use in less than a minute. It weighs in excess of 50 lbs and is manageable by one person, but lifting precautions apply. We have not really tested it's range, as our longest excursion has only been about 1.5 hours, but I have no reason to doubt their claims. The chair is very well built, and provides a much smoother ride than a conventional wheelchair. My wife loves the independence she has with it, no longer being forced to go where I want to go vs. Where she wants to go (think something like a museum). All in all we are very pleased and anticipate many years of reliable performance.

great chair
Love the chair - goes good over most any level ground. Nice to be able to go to my grandson's soccer games (seem to always have to walk over several fields to where he's playing.) Only downfall is going across a slanted area - chair has a tendency to turn toward the downside and hard to go across a slanted area. sometimes can even get away from you. Believe it's because front wheels are free form (not under power). Happens especially if going slow. Other than that very nice buy.

excellent
I haved owned this for a little more than a month. i love it!!! Everyplace I go I get enquiries...where did I get it-on line, is it heavy-just a bit heavier then a simple manual, how long is it carged-12miles or every couple of weeks, is it sturdy-YES, I bump into more doorways and walls, over all sorts of terrain, I live on a farm. have the opportunity to go to many outdoor venues such as fairs and festivals. Is it expensive?-I wanted excellent customer support,American company and made. Didn't want hassels with foriegn company or manufacture, if I had them-NO! i was willing to pay a little more for piece of mind. There are many foriegn cheaper companies-after months of research, reading customer reeviews,I bought this. My son has no trouble with folding it and putting it into the trunk of my car. If you are lucky enough to have a lift keep sitting in it as if you had a less flexible chair. The only con I have is the joystick takes a bit of getting used to, very sensitive, I over corrected alot at first. Go up hills or ramp is a snap. It has more than enough power. I have yet to be thwarted-Side note if you will drive mostly on flat surfaces you may buy the less expensive model. Better than expected. ohh also sit a little low I'm 5'1", 170lbs. I use another pillow for height. It also only took my son minutes to set up as It comes mostly set up. You just add joystick to either right or left side. insert batteries and go, go, GO!

Don't trust the weight maximum on the ad! Great Customer Service!
worked all right for 6 months, then things started to go wrong. Finally, last night, one of the struts on the rear of the seat snapped in two pieces, and the chair deposited me in the floor. When I looked up, the chair was totally unusable, since the seat was canted about 35 degrees down and to the left. My weight is between 350 and 360 pounds, well below the 394 specified in the ad. I now have another worthless piece of junk in my garage.UPDATE: One hour after I posted the above review, Mr. Mark Naser from Forcemech Customer Support called me, profusely apologizing for the problem, and offering a full refund if I can get the chair back to them. While I am still not that crazy about the chair -- THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE ROCKS!

do not waste your money
After tons of research I purchased the Navigator thinking it was the best. I was very wrong. The first time I used it after charging it overnight it was a very jerky ride. It went slow then speeded up then slow again. I can not get in or out of my house without tearing up the woodwork. It cannot make sharp turns. It would not go over a 2" bump in the sidewalk. I had to go around it in the grass and then it got stuck in the grass. As for the distance it can go 10 miles tops. Plan on returning bit. Did I get a lemon??

A great electric wheelchair company to deal with.
My wife had a very bad stroke on November 8, 2018. I have her home now taking therapy so I started shopping for a electric wheelchair . I settled on three wheelchairs and decided on the navigator , I got a call from the factory and they said they could not deliver that model in two days. He said he would send the next size up, the navigator XL and not charge me anymore. my wife only weighs 110 pounds and the XL is too big for her, so he said let’s go for the size under the navigator which was the R2 model. That was a wheelchair also I considered. We agreed on the R2 and for my trouble he took $100 off of that price and said he would deliver it in two days which he did . my wife loves her new wheels, she can ride all through our house and be more independent while I am doing something else in the house. She hits a few doors or tables but has been at it for two weeks and doing wonderful. It came in a well packed box and I had it open and the chair out running with in 30 minutes. It is all together except the controls and they are easy to install. it is well-made and only weighs 44 pounds with the batteries removed. We went to the hospital for an appointment for me and she went with me in her wheelchair and did very well running all over the places we had to go. She feels more independent now and it saves me from having to push all the time. After the first charging of the batteries I have only charged them one time in the two weeks . A very good “ Made in America “ product and good to deal with the Forcemech Company.
