1st time purchase: A+ to Golden State Fruit! This was a huge step up from companies like Sherri's Berries. I have ordered their berries in the past and have been disgusted by their customer service, pathetically small berries, and thin shell of chocolate coating. Golden State Fruit, please keep doing the awesome job you do (safe packaging, cold but not frozen fresh berries, the large size of the berries, excellent amount and quality of chocolate, fast shipping, good price $29.99 and Prime shipping, etc) and you guys will outdo other competing companies! Right now you have won me over, so keep up the good work! I am so pleased by my order, thank you!2nd time purchase (Mother's Day): as a disclaimer, just remember that with any holiday the shipping will probably be a little screwy, but it did come out very well in the end for me, and Amazon customer support was very courteous and apologetic. I had ordered the berries on the appropriate day so that they would arrive on Friday at my mother's workplace. Well, as you might expect the shipping was flooded with too many orders. At one point I didn't even know where my package was. I did call Amazon customer support and they were very helpful saying that if anything happened to the package or if it didn't arrive on time or it was ruined that I should call back and they would help me again. It turned out that the strawberries arrived on Saturday at my mom's work place, and she was able to go pick them up with no problem (just an extra drive for her since she had no work that day). The berries were once again very big and tasted delicious chocolate. (Shari's berries were incredibly small when I ordered them last year.) Even though the shipping was a little annoying, I am very satisfied again with this purchase. I would still highly recommend this company and these berries, just be prepared for the mad rush of the holidays. Thank you Amazon support, for backing up my purchase in case anything happened.

My wife and I celebrated Valentine’s Day a little early and loved these! The strawberries were fresh and not mushy at all, and the chocolate was very good. They arrived in great condition and were perfect for celebrating together. Would definitely order again.

I love chocolate covered strawberries and have been receiving them as gifts for years. The Golden State chocolate covered strawberries are my favorite! Love the very thick chocolate! Large sized berries. Why this order didn't get 5 stars - Some of the strawberries were still green on top, if we pay so much I would think they could reject any strawberries not ripe. The strawberries had to be eaten within 24 hours or they would have gone bad. Shipping fresh fruit is a problem so there is not a lot that can be done, however I did notice that they now offer same day pick up at a local college by me. So I'm looking forward to trying out the same day pick up to see how much fresher they are. A few of the strawberries we not coated with chocolate on the bottom which needs to be corrected. Last of the let downs was the heart sprinkles still do not match the picture. This set was the closest of any of my orders but the chocolate is setting up too much before the sprinkles go on so there is a lot of chocolate showing through because the sprinkles didn't stick, therefore the strawberries don't look as good as the pictures. I still think these are the best choice for chocolate covered strawberries and with Prime you save a lot in shipping making them more affordable too!
