Very happy with this knife holder! I purchased a knife set that came with one of those gigantic wood block knife holders, and I used it for about a year before I got fed up with it - took up too much counter space, they are unsanitary, etc. Finally, I decided to opt for something that would combine form and function. This magnetic block was very easy to put together, takes up much less space on my counter, and it is more hygienic. The magnet is strong, I have some knives that are fairly heavy and they do not slip, but the magnet is not SO strong that it could be hazardous to pick up a knife. It can hold a ton of knives too! You can stack some long ones horizontally under shorter knives that are attached vertically. I also like the option to only attach knives on one side of the block and face that side towards a wall for a “cleaner” or less cluttered look. There are cheaper magnetic strips out there, however for the form and function I was looking for this was perfect for me.

Very happy with this despite a minor manufacturing error. The rubber tabs that should be on the the bottom of the base were put on the wrong side. There are countersunk holes for the screws...The tabs should have been on that side.Fortunately, the tabs are thick enough that when I flipped it over and assembled it, technically, the wrong way...It's perfectly fine.It looks great and the magnet is very strong.

It is absolutely stunning and holds a lot of knives. Great for an apartment where you don't have lots of drawer space for knives and also looks beautiful, great quality wood!

I like it but like 1/3 of the board is not magnetic at the bottom at least it sticks on both sides.Feels well made.
