Martha Washington's Choice Bedspread - King - Antique - with String Fringe

The bedspread looks great on our king bed. I bought it to replace a much loved bedspread that was falling apart after 20+ years. I was surprised by the color since I had taken "antique" to mean that it had an antique design and not that the bedspread was creamy beige but the color looks good in our bedroom. Our only "complaint" is that the bedspread is very heavy. It is so heavy that I had trouble folding it myself to put it away at the end of the winter season. On the other hand, we use this bedspread for additional warmth in winter so I would not have wanted a thin one.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because it just isn't sized to fit the taller beds. We recently purchased a new 27" tall queen bed, so after reading the reviews I decided to order the king size spread. I'm glad I did because the length is great to even allow me to tuck some under the pillows. The width, however, is a bit long and the fringe lays on the floor. I have to tuck it underneath the bed. The quality of the spread is excellent and maybe it will shrink just a bit whenever I decide to wash it, though that won't be for quite a while.

This bedspread reminds me of the ones my Mom had when I was a child and the one we received as a wedding gift 58 years ago.Over the years I had forgotten about the Martha Washington Spread and when I started looking for a bedspread I really did not know what I wanted. How pleased and happy I was when I found this on line. I redecorated my bedroom and needed a spread that was simple and elegant. With all the colors I had used I really needed something that would just blend in and when I scrolled through what was available and came upon this I knew it was the ONE. The craftsmanship and quality is 5 star+. I would buy again and recommend this to anyone.

I made the mistake of ordering a King size, which is too large, but I kept it because I plan to raise the bed higher off the floor and when that occurs the spread will no doubt be perfect. It is a beautiful spread and well made.And of great importance to me is that it was made in the United States by our craftspeople. I am more and more checking to see if a product is American made; I give preference to those items made in this country, even when it costs more, because I am sick of the poor quality of outsourced products and am sick of all the unemployment in our country resulting from the outsourcing.

I love these. Worth the money. A classic and you will get years of wear. My only advice is with the newer thicker mattresses it is wise to buy a size up. These bedspreads were designed for lower beds with thinner mattresses. I like my bedspreads to touch the floor but have a pillow top mattress....so I just order a size up. The king size will give you plenty of drape and hit the floor on the tallest puffiest queen size bed.

Love this! It is gorgeous and the workmanship is exquisite! Definitely a piece that will last for decades. It is a generous fit on my King mattress. So many "King" size items are skimpy, but this spread is lavish in it's size. So glad I paid the extra money to get the quality. Would buy again.

I was so happy to find this bedspread here. My father wanted to get a replacement for my mother's last bedspread. His dilemma was that she wanted the exact same spread that she had had for 20 years! It was nowhere to be found in any local store, so I was very pleased to be able to find it on Amazon at an incredible price. She loves it! There is something to be said for quality and tradition.

We just purchased two of these beautiful bedspreads for our guest rooms, we are very pleased with the quality of the products. We have been searching in side department stores for two years, and unable to find good quality spreads.
