Mine runs for longer than 30 minutes. How do I make it shut off at 30 minutes?

Is it possible to mute it while still allowing for the mobile to spin?

Yes! It has different settings. One of them allows the mobile to spin but doesn't have music. You can also control the volume so you could turn the music waaaay down if you just wanted light music with the spinning, as well.
