I have jet black hair that is probably 80 percent gray. I dye my hair every three weeks with Just 5 hair dye. I needed to touch up before a trip and the timing was off to do a full dye job. I used this. It got my resistant sides without any problem. I then used an intense keratin treatment a week after I used this and the dye stayed put!! I will do a full hair dye this weekend but at the week and half mark, it still completely black and the only gray showing is my growth. Amazing results and inexpensive as well.

I love Clairol Root Touch-up. It is easy to use and takes very little time. I get perfect results every time without any issues.

My first time dying my roots, and this worked great! I waited 3 days to wash my hair after. The color has stayed until my roots grew out again. Highly recommend. For those who did not have good results I think it’s bc they shampooed their hair too soon after. Also, you’re supposed to rinse out the color only with water, no shampoo. Sounds obvious but I didn’t know that!

No unpleasant odor but it did not color my hair as dark as the regular formulation. Plus, the cream goes on white and changes color with time. Little bits of cream gets flicked around the area during the application process, since it is white you can't readily see the flecks to remove them immediately. For these reasons, I will not buy this again.

Great product, excellent coverage, affordable and of outstanding quality

I was excited to try this on my new growth and I did but its a big lie. This thing leave the root of my hair like burnt orange. I do hairdressing so I know what to do but this dye does not work

Just FYI, I’m Asian and use the black shade to cover up my numerous grays. This is the only hair dye I’ll use because I’m terrified of damaging my hair, and I’m really low-maintenance (I don’t want to buy special shampoos, etc). It’s pretty easy to use, and you let it sit on your hair for about 20 minutes. It can get a little messy if you’re not careful, so I always put a little towel down and shower and wash my hair after. I’ve attached photos of before and after - sorry they’re not the best quality, but trust me that this dye does a good job of disguising my gray hair for about a month or so. It almost has a matte look to it, and my hair actually feels kind of soft after using it. I always grab several boxes when they go on sale!

Received what was expected

I wanted to like this product given its a more natural solution to dying your hair. Unfortunately it just doesn’t provide the proper coverage for grey hair. It also doesn’t have lasting coverage. It left my hair feeling difficult to manage and frizzy. I won’t be purchasing this product again.
