For some reason local parts stores didn’t sell these, and didn’t like my unused top posts being exposed

I used these on marine trolling batteries that have a threaded post (which I use) and a plain post which I cover. Prompt delivery, original packaging. Would order again.

Exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for battery caps for a high performance car that's used frequently but is one I am working on/updating on a regular basis. The caps allow me to keep the top posts covered since I only need the side posts and this stops any issue from a tool accidentally touching both terminals at the same time causing an issue. You might ask why not just buy a battery with only side posts but I was in need of battery and this was what was available quickly.

These are the same type of cap you get covering the terminal when you purchase an automotive battery. The tab is not usable unless you wish to tear off a section running up the post, making the cap effectively disposable.Not a bad thing if you're going to cap the top posts and use the sides and leave them in place, but good to know going in.

They fit the top posts on my dual post battery and protect the top post from damage and accidental shorts between them. A bit pricey for what they are though.

I bought these for a marine battery that didn't have caps on them for whatever reason and I use the bolts instead. So I put these on the posts to protect from any shorts or things falling on them.
