Recommended Use: Trash? If they were all I had, and I was desperate, I'd consider using them to bake cookies. Worth the Price? Don't waste your money. There are far better options for much less money. Chatfields Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips Price: Moderate ($0.62 an oz) Mouth Feel: OK - similar to cheap semi-sweet chocolate chips Taste: 6 out of 10 Recommended Use: Baking, unless you're desperate for a chocolate fix. Very tasty yummy

These dark chocolate chips are absolutely delicious—rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced in flavor. As someone with severe allergies, finding a product that’s truly allergen-free is a huge deal for me, and these gave me peace of mind while still tasting amazing. That said, I did run into an issue with the packaging. One bag arrived in perfect condition, with all the morsels separate and easy to use. However, the second bag was a completely different story—the chips were stuck together into one large solid block. It was nearly impossible to separate them without breaking them apart. Each bag also clearly had a different color, one was chocolatey brown and the bag with the block was more powdery. Because of that, I’ll have to use that batch for a recipe that calls for melted chocolate instead of individual chips, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, the quality and taste are excellent, especially for those with allergies, but consistency in packaging and handling could definitely be improved.

Good flavor & fresh, color & texture & size

I enjoy a little choclate, now & again. I am borderline diabetic so I must watch my carbs. I normally buy the Ghirardelli 72% Cacao in the 10oz bag but their price has steadily been climbing. So I'm looking for alternatives. I found these and decided to try them. They only have 3 ingredients; unsweetened chocolate, cane syrup and cocoa butter, with 3.5 net carbs in a 15g serving. Ghirardelli has 3 net carbs in 15g serving. So they are very close. The flavor on these are very good! Actually, milder than Ghirardelli. The difference in carbs and taste may be because Ghirardelli has added vanilla extract and soy lecithin in them. But, somewhere along the way I think these got a little too hot. Fortunately, I don't mind. The dried out ones will be just fine melted in a cup of hot chocolate.

I used these chocolate chips for my almond flour cookies and they taste delicious. Good quality. Though, I agree, the price is high for 255 grams, which is almost 2 1/2 bars of Lindt chocolate bars.
