...different from the stuff I have growing in my front yard?I like the quality and reputation of Unilever/Dove products.I like the smell of this, BUT...As I said, we have several live lavender plants in our front yard, so I kinda think I know what lavender smells like.The first thing I did with this is give it the "sniff" test.Um....What..is..that..smell???I'm just not getting lavender; maybe it's the "sea salt" that's affecting the lavender scent.Not really sure what sea salt is supposed to smell like, to be honest.After a while, I finally arrived at what I thought this smells like.Violets.Is it just me??"Hey, Misses Shops too much, what does this smell like to you?""Violets".Okay, great, I'm not going crazy.This is a white powdery looking stick, described as "moisturizing 48 hour antiperspirant".It has a creamy feel going on; while I do tend towards dry skin, I'm not sure that I need extra moisturizing under my arms; maybe you do. In any case; it feels pleasant, not gummy, sticky or anything like that.In two different contexts, on me, this went on white and pretty much stayed that way.First; just out of the package to try it out, before an hour plus at home cardio and strength training workout.Second, fresh out of the shower (after the workout) after drying off.3 swipes up/down each arm.The white fades somewhat, but does not disappear; borderline if I'd want to use this on a "tank top" day.While this is targeted towards men, I would call the scent itself "gender neutral" and actually, I suspect guys that like lavender might be a little put off by what this product describes itself as, versus what it actually smells like.I do like it, I'll wear it, but likely will give some to Misses Shops too much.Overall, like the other Dove/Unilever products in our home, this is a nice product.I hope this review has enabled you to make an informed purchase decision.I rarely give an overall 5 star rating.

Dove Men+Care is one of the best brands out there! My husband uses their antiperspirant deodorants often and never has to worry about underarm odor or wetness. This product was no exception!Many guys that are reading these reviews are probably wanting to know if the scent is heavy on the lavender. Our answer is no. Definitely not. To be perfectly honest, neither my husband nor I thought this had much of a floral scent at all. The scent is light, fresh, and clean smelling. It's definitely NOT one of those strong, overpowering, overly masculine scents. It's much more subtle than what my husband is used to. He was worried about the lavender because he hates anything floral but was pleasantly surprised how nice this product smelled!This is a white solid stick so it doesn't go on completely clear. There is some white residue left behind, as with most white solid sticks. It doesn't stain clothing and my husband hasn't any problems with deodorant rub off, even when wearing form fitting black shirts!The wetness and odor protection are excellent! My husband has a physical job and also works out a lot. This product has held up well to both. The scorching hot summers will be here before we know it so it will be interesting to see if this deodorant can hold up to 100 degree scorchers!! (those days when you walk to the mailbox and are drenched in sweat!)

I have been using Dove deodorant on and off for years. It remains one of my favorite brands.I am really enjoying this new line of Dove deodorants that offer a very unique scent that I have never experienced before. I recently reviewed their Mandarine and Tumeric scent which is really terrific. I suggest that you consider that scent as well.This offering is Sea Salt and Wild Lavender. It's an interesting combination and I suppose the best way to describe the scent is slightly floral. It's not overpowering. It goes on smoothly and doesn't produce that chalky residue that ends up staining shirts. Upon application, my armpits had a nice fresh scent to them. Had my girlfriend double-check and she approved!I am a very active individual who works out for 90 minutes a day so I tend to sweat. Due to my active lifestyle, it was nice to see that this indeed kept me dry for a second-day post-initial application, though I personally prefer to apply deodorant on a daily basis.The only negative I have for this product is that it comes in a noticeably smaller size. Most deodorants are 2.7 ounces or more. This comes in at 2.6 and it certainly looks slimmed down. I would compare prices against larger sizes to be sure this is a good value for you.

Although I've been happy with Dove for Men products in the past, I was a bit concerned about this having too floral of a scent due to the lavender. However, while the lavender scent is present, it's not too floral -- it has a well balance, fresh type of a scent that's fairly light. I'm very pleased with the scent. It's a refreshing change from the usual "man" scents.It goes on smoothly and easily. It's a solid stick, but it doesn't fall apart or cake up during application. I've had no problems at all with this staining my clothing. More important, I've not had any skin irritation from it, which is not always the case for me when it comes to antiperspirants.Effectiveness has been very good. While the true test will come in the dog days of summer, so far it's kept me dry for the full day. I've not had any breakthrough sweating toward the end of the day, and would rate the longevity as very good as well.No complaints. The price is not out of range for a name brand antiperspirant. Based on the scent, performance and value this rates five stars in my book.

I love the smell of this deodorant. It lasts all and doesn’t get too funky by the end of the day. (I work outside for much of the day)I think the scent actually works great for men and women. It is not flowery or too delicate. It has a pretty neutral smell.I think it is a good size, especially if you like to throw one in your gym bag for workout days.Based on the price of the individual sticks, I think this is an overall fair price. Prices have gone up quite a bit at my local supermarket and these deodorant sticks can add up when purchased one at a time.I would recommend these to any man or woman looking for a nice smelling, long-lasting deodorant. I know they are targeted for men, but for me, women’s deodorant just doesn’t cut it.
