Absolutely perfect!
I'm almost 80 and it helps to have a book close to my face when reading. This book stand is very well made and attaches easily with complete flexibility to put the book exactly where you need it. The medium size is great for large paperbacks. They even give you tools needed to tighten or loosen the joints, although it comes with them adjusted just right. You'll never need another book stand.

Good heavy duty stand.
Heavy duty, very sturdy, works a charm. Make sure you have enough flat near the edge of the table or whatever you plan to attach it to to get at least most of it underneath. It's a big clamp. And it works. Just what I wanted.

It was almost great
I like this stand, though it seems that it was packed by having all its pieces chucked into a box, being allowed to jostle around and damaging paint and gouging the bamboo reading platform.I also paid for the XL version and received the medium. So now either I have to settle with paying more for having received less, or going through the hassle of a return. The customer service rep was nice and all, but I just don’t see Amazon as convenient enough to want to continue with.

Excellent addition to my kitchen!
Freed up lots of counter space because I keep my big recipe binder and phone on it. It motivates me to cook! Originally intended for a laptop, for which it would work great too.

The best mountable music stand on the market!
Expect sturdy, well made, versatile. Comes with tools and a spare tightening knob for the mast, 18" centered extension arm that swivels 360 degrees. Vertical or horizontal mount. I set mine up to read keyboard music on its right side, then I can swivel it 4.2 feet (its total extension reach) to its left side to my cello practice station. Tall enough and wide enough for sheet music, and sturdy enough for my tablet as well as to mount my other Amazon purchase, Melodia Pro 18.9' Music Stand Clip on Lamp: Modern, 3000K~6500K CCT Adjustable, Dimmable, Foldable, 10W LED, Eye Protection, for Piano, Sheet Music, Guitar, Voilin, Orchestra, Podium, which is also an excellent, heavy duty, well-made product.

Poor build quality
I bought two of these and both broke. Simply tightening the knob that holds the arm at the correct height breaks the weld around the screw rendering the whole thing useless. Terrible build quality

Very well made
All components are of good quality and fit and finish is excellent. Stand can hold medical text books with no deflection or sag.

good except chemicals
The book stand works very well and performs the exact function I need. The leveler arm has sufficient adjustment to get the preferred angle and distance. Height adjustment is not as convenient, but I only use one height. I like the clamping design over standalone options. The book stand arm can be pushed away when not in use, then pulled back in no time when it is needed. The horizontal arms are slanting downwards noticeably, due to the weakness of joint design. But it doesn't affect usage. Just looks a bit funky. The bamboo board is well polished and made of three layers of bamboo pressed and glued together. The inner layer has bamboo bars orthogonal to the two external layer, which is a solid construction. If the book is more than 1.5 inch (38mm) thick, there would be some difficulty due to the depth of bottom board. I have a book of 45mm thickness which still can fit, once I turn over a few pages to reduce the thickness on one side of the book. There is a noticeable chemical smell which seems to be from the bamboo board and the gap between the board and the back metal plate. It fades a lot after I brushed it in soap water and baked in indoor sunlight for a few days. It is not completely gone. My consumer grade VOC meter doesn't any peaks around the board. But the meter can only detect a few chemicals. I have to be careful since three of my acquaintances and relatives back in the days died of leukemia. So I put it outdoor exposed in summer sun and rain to speed up the outgassing. Will see how it goes. No doubt the bamboo board can handle this, since the varnish provides solid coverage. It seems the manufacturer strives for productivity. I do hope they pay more attention to chemical safety (paint, varnish, adhesives, and what method is used to remove starch from bamboo...).****************update********************The chemical smell from the bamboo board varnish is still disturbing after two weeks. I covered the entire board with scotch shipping tape. Now the smell is sealed inside.
