Great Carbon Filtration
Added the two stage filter system to my trailer. One side takes this carbon filtration filter to clear contaminants and minerals that cause odors and bad tastes in the drinking water . . . after adding this filter as the final stage, my water is tasting great and no deposit build up on the fixtures!! Works great!

Good single canister Whole RV carbon block replacement filter
I got this to replace the filter element that came in our RV as we get ready to start a new camping season. The RV has a single canister filter housing permanently mounted in the utility bay. Since we tend to explore new campgrounds, rather than ones we know, I am always wary of the quality of the water coming into the RV. Because of that, we also use an inline filter connected directly to the spigot - this provides protection for our pressure reducer, in case there is silt or sediment in the water source. Since the inline filter will have already caught any larger particles, we like to use a 0.5 micron filter in the RV housing rather than the standard 5 micron filter. We also feel that by also using an inline filter, we extend the useful life of the filter in our utility bay. This filter appears well made and is the proper size for our housing. The only con I see with this one is that it is about $2 more expensive than an OEM 0.5 micron filter.
