Is this monitor enclosed? One of the photos shows the back with exposed circuit boards.

This is a monitor without shell, which is its own design.

Im running retro pie on a pie 4 and the other screens ive bought needed drivers and I want to avoid that. Is this really plug and play?

Yes, when you use this screen with pi 4, you need to prepare a micro hdmi to hdmi cable to make it work. Any problem please contact us via Amazon or email us[hmtech@sz-htc.com]. Thanks.

Does this have usb c for projection?

I am sorry, this screen doesn't have the usb c port for projection.

I want to monitor a android tv box in public wifi. Tv box has standard hdmi output. Will this work and will i have sound?

Yes, it can work, but it doesn't have the sound because this screen has not a speaker.
