Excellent little teapot!
I really love this little teapot. It sits on my desk at work. I come in every morning, put a couple of scoops of my oolong tea in it, and fill it up with hot water from the bottled water dispenser. That's the perfect temperature. Let it sit until the color looks good, then I push down the plunger and enjoy! Cleanup is easy, I dump the leaves into the waste basket and quickly rinse using the water dispenser again since I don't have a sink in my office space. I don't have a problem with the tea getting cold, but that may be because I drink it so quickly. It's really the easiest time I've ever had of making tea, just short of a teabag in a mug in the microwave! It's also very attractive and I think it's kind of fun. Do be careful, it does feel about as fragile as a coffee pot.

Great teapot!
I've had this teapot for a few weeks now, and I use it every day. The glass pot is easy to clean, and the strainer has enough holes that I can pour the water in without waiting for it to filter out. The plunger feature is nice because it keeps the tea from over-steeping without having to make a mess by removing the strainer. The plastic strainer has small enough holes to filter out almost everything, even rooibos. Unfortunately, being clear plastic, it becomes instantly stained by the tea. That's not terribly attractive, but any tea drinker will understand that it's not "dirty." That's the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five. I was concerned that the strainer might leave a plastic taste in the tea, but this is not the case. The size is wonderful. Tiny teapots and I don't get along well. They're more difficult to clean, and they make serving more than two people at a time somewhat difficult.I would definitely recommend this to others.

Bodum Assam 4-Cup Tea Press Teapot - Nice!
I received my teapot today and have already used it. It functions exactly as described. If you follow the directions regarding tea quantity and water level there are no problems. One reviewer complained that the plunger began to depress during the brewing process thereby prematurely halting the brewing. I noticed that the plunger did drop a little while I waited on it to brew, but the distance was negligible. I left the water level below the pouring spout (approx. 4 cm as instructed), no drips when pouring throughout the entire pot of tea. I did hand wash it after use since some of the reviewers noted breakage in the dishwasher. The pot is made from glass and if it were carelessly loaded in a full dishwasher, I could see a pot/pan banging on the teapot and breaking it. I doubt that if you loaded it on the top rack with sufficient distance around it that it would break. Clean up was quick and easy. It's amazing how nicely something works when you follow the directions! Very happy with its performance so far. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this teapot.

Love the Press!
I purchsed this tea press for easier tea making at work. I really prefer loose leaf teas. The infuser basket is plastic and is wonderful! I got tired of going through metal tea balls that would start to change the taste of the water. Plastic prevents this problem. Everything is very easy to use and clean. The only problem I have is that you have to drink the tea pretty fast because it looses heat very fast and won't stay warm in the pot. Other than that...this has been a great purchase! UPDATE: To solve the problem of losing heat...use a candle warmer. Doesn't give off too much heat and works great with this pot!

Works great for me
Great simple tea pot. Love the press feature. I use this every day and have no problems with it. The plunger works perfectly, the lid fits, it pours without a problem, and the glass is sturdy. I usually drink Numi teas - mostly whole tea leaves - so I have no problems with tea particles escaping through the plastic filter, but even the Tazo teas aren't much of a problem. A fine metal mesh would have been better, but I don't know how that would work with the press. It makes enough tea for four regular sized mugs or 2 giant ones. I keep the tea hot by using the Norpro cup warmer I bought through Amazon (this one works - I set the pot right on it). For the price, I'd buy this tea pot again.

Cannot recommend.
This teapot looks lovely in the picture, but I cannot recommend it. First, once you remove the infuser you cannot use the cover, because it does not fit without the infuser. Second, the infuser/design looks interesting, but it does not work well, and the tea does not steep effectively. The bottom of the infuser is an area without holes for water to flow out. This is where the teabags or loose tea sit after you press down the plunger. A fair amount of water gets into it when you pour water into the teapot, and it stays there, so that when you remove the infuser, it is likely to spill. The idea may be good and creative, but the way the teapot is made is not user-friendly at all. I plan to put it away for times when I need more than one teapot, and get another teapot with a simpler design, or maybe with a teaball, to use every day!

Boudum-Assam 4-cup Tea Press
This tea pot works well for us. We can have better tea for less money by buying loose tea. No bags, no teaball, just fill the press. Brewing is fast, and you vary the time by instructions on the tea or matte. Leave the press in as lid after brewing - the tea leaves are isolated by the press. Clean up is easy. We use the Bodum double wall tumblers to serve the tea so it stays hot longer. We consider tea better for our health than coffee. We plan to keep warmer this winter by burning less fuel and drinking more tea!

Great quality, easy to clean, looks very attractive.
To keep this easy to clean, do make sure you do clean it often ahha. As with anything related with tea, if you neglect it for a week or more, you'll need some elbrow grease to get it clean. But this thing is simple and easy to break down, cleaning is a breeze. I LOVE IT.It's also very attractive, and just looks good just sitting there. EVERYONE should get this asap!
