Walker Edison Wren Classic 4 Cubby Fireplace TV Stand for TVs up to 80 Inches, 70 Inch, Black

I don't usually write very many reviews, but I felt compelled to write one for this product because of the great experience I had. First of all, the price is amazing for what you get. This stand is on par with many of the more expensive name brand ones you see in furniture stores. The stand arrived very well packaged in its box with no damage. All parts, including hardware, were included (I counted them) with spares. As others have stated in reviews, the instructions were very detailed and made putting this together very simple. I am by no means a handyman; however, my girlfriend and I put this together pretty seamlessly in just under two hours. This included about 20 minutes of identifying and correcting a few pieces we assembled incorrectly (while the instructions are great, there was one step that was a little confusing). Completely assembled, the stand is extremely sturdy and looks fantastic. I appreciate the small touches they made, such as the black cardboard that goes behind the shelves aren't just nailed or glued on like other stands. For this stand the actual wood has grooves built into them that the backings slide into perfectly. They also provide you with brackets to install on the outside of the backing to provide even more security if you so choose. I have received many compliments on this stand, and for the price, it's a no-brainer. It is 100% worth it.

When this massive box arrived at my door, I was very worried about assembly after reading reviews. Once I actually got the heavy thing in the house by myself, everything else was super simple! I put this thing together all by myself. Here is the summary of set up... ·All parts were here and nothing was damaged. ·The packaging material was MESSY! I had to use the vacuum attachment on the pieces several times to get all the tiny foam off. But it kept the wood from getting any damage during shipping so I'm not complaining. ·I didn't need any additional tools except scissors and a screwdriver set! (No drill required!) ·It took me 4 hours from start to finish (including unpacking and clean up). ·I could not get the tiny screws into the fireplace insert. I actually don't think it's possible (haha). I skipped that step (after at least 20 minutes of failed attempts and 26,000 F bombs) and just relied on the rest of the materials given to secure the insert to the unit. It's solid and I fully trust the installation without the worthless impossible screws. ·My hands will be sore from days because of the 6 screws you have to use the little wrench for. Those screws were painful to get into the wood and resulted in at least 20,000 more F bombs. I haven't really used the console yet as it's been set up in my living room approximately 20 minutes now. But I'm very happy so far! The wood is quality material and it's a beautiful color. They even included stickers to cover up the bolts. I've wanted a fireplace forever and you can't beat this very reasonably priced fake one. Haha. So far it seems warm and the ambiance adds to the coziness that is my home. Update: About 3 weeks later, I cannot believe how much this tiny little space heater heats up my house!! I have a very open floor plan so the living room, kitchen and hall are one big area (about 800 square feet). In about an hour, my thermostat read 3 degrees hotter. I'm not yet sure how this will affect my electricity bill, but right now, I LOVE this console.

So first, I saw the horror stories of broken parts, and other problems people had when they purchased this. I feel for them I really do, but I was fortunate enough that my item was in perfect condition, and all parts, ( plus some extras in a extras bag) were all there. One thing everyone's been right on, this is not that easy to assemble, and one or two of the screw holes were a bit wonky. If it weren't for two of us doing it, I'm not sure it would have taken a reasonable time to put it together. Also.. go buy Gorilla Glue ( wood or all purpose ), and make sure to glue all the dowels ( on both sides ). As to the actual functionality, this works great. It sits in front of our wood fireplace ( which we can't use due to chimney problems ). The fireplace insert looks good, and the heater works well, but isn't overly loud. It holds our 75" class Samsung Q75 QLED HDR 4K TV without any wood groaning or cracking and this is a HEAVY TV. As a side note, and not really pictured, there are two somewhat big square support legs that under the middle of it, to provide additional weight bearing "legs/feet" which just added to the stability. One caution.. This thing isn't light, get help if you have to move it. Pro TIP: to add to the illusion, we have a Amazon Fire Cube, and a Smart Plug. I hooked this up to the smart plug, and setup a command in Alexa to turn it on and off, and at the same time turn on and off the Sleep Sounds Fireplace loop. It's not perfect, but it does add to the illusion, and it allows me to turn the thing off from the Echo Dot 4 in our bedroom if we happen to forget before going to bed. As a unintended side-benefit, we have a greyish blue furniture theme to our living room, ( couch, end and coffee tables, rug ).. and this blends in perfectly with the rest of the living room. All in all, would buy again, but not certain I will ever need to.

I ordered the Walker Edison 58" TV stand in natural for a new flat screen TV. It fits a television up to 60" (though mine is smaller) and looks very nice when it's finished. Having said that, the assembly can be a challenge in a couple of places. The box containing the stand arrived in only two days, and was in good condition. Note: it is an extremely heavy box; I recommend two people move this, especially if stairs are involved. It would be best if two people assembled this, but I am only moderately handy and was able to complete it by myself. I started by taking everything out of the box and doing an inventory: everything was present and nothing appeared damaged or scratched. This stand is made of MDF with laminate over it, so while it can look good, it can be unforgiving if you tighten screws too tight, etc. Take your time and be patient and you will be rewarded. The one major issue I had in assembly was that slat number 7 was about 1/4" too long on one end. This wasn't immediately apparent until I got to step 11, and realized the end panel (parts 3, 11, and 13) wouldn't fit and be flush. The other end was perfect. I removed the dowel from the end of slat 7, cut the slat flush with a small hand saw, trimmed the dowel 1/4" and re-glued the dowel in place. After that the end went on fine and the remainder of the assembly went without difficulty. When it was done I noticed that support leg 8 was also slightly too long when on level hard surface flooring which made it a bit wobbly. This did not amuse me, but I put it on carpet and it was fine. I could have removed a fraction of an inch from the bottom of the leg and solved the problem, but it wasn't worth the energy since it was going to sit on the carpet. I seriously debated what rating to give this stand, and finally settled on four stars. The assembly was challenging, and at least two pieces were fractionally the wrong size. All the holes for screws and fasteners were in good alignment, though, so I don't think the assembly requires exceptional skills, but it's harder than you might think (especially if you do it by yourself). Despite considering a three star rating for the assembly pitfalls, it really does look like an actual piece of furniture and is heavy and quite substantial. It looks good, it's extremely functional and now that it's been assembled I'm glad I chose it (but I wouldn't want to assemble another one).

This fireplace is perfect. I didn't want to spend a ton because I live in south florida and who needs a fireplace in florida. I got it for the ambiance. The size is perfect with 4 slots for different books and decorations. The color is beautiful and the fireplace itself you can turn on the fire part and the heat part separately which is nice. Its not super tall which i like so it doesnt over power the room just gives it a beautiful bonus to the decor. It was easy to put together maybe took me an hr and a half. I did most of it by myself and then needed my husband towards the end. The quality is amazing and very sturdy. I would HIGHLY recommend this fireplace

I am so happy with this entertainment stand. The instructions highly recommend that two people lift and assemble this, but I don't believe in all that. I was able to lay it down flat (slowly) to move into my apartment from where it was left outside of the door, and even though it took about 4 hours, I was able to put the entire thing together by myself (the hardest part was actually just getting the fireplace into the finished stand, as you have very limited space to get a screwdriver in between the pieces.) It is sturdy, I LOVE the driftwood finish - it's a greyish color - and it really looks like I spent a LOT of money on it. The electric fireplace is well-made. Obviously, it doesn't smell or sound like a fireplace, but the faux wood looks lovely, and can be turned on separate from the heating element. I was a little worried that it would heat up the stand or cause some damage to my electronics (TV, sound bar, etc.), but I have left it on for a few hours at a time to test that, and it's not going to cause any issues because of the way it is built (the heat comes out a bit lower than directly at the top of the fireplace.) As far as warmth, in an hour or two it heats up the living areas of my apartment sufficiently enough that I can turn it off. I live in Texas, so it doesn't get extremely cold during the winter, but I fully expect that I will be able to use this for most of the winter without turning on the central heat. I currently have a 55" curved flat-screen on top, in addition to a sound bar and some other odds and ends, and I don't think I will have to worry about it sagging. This really is a well-constructed stand. But all jokes aside, see if you can find a partner to help. It will save you a lot of screaming.

Based on the mixed reviews I wasn't expected super high quality or something sturdy. I was so wrong! The finish is much nicer than I had thought it would be. It's a nice texture and feels dense. It's nice and big with enough space to fit our 75" tv. It easily supports the weight of it along with our gaming consoles, games, dvds, etc that we're storing on it. All the panels and boards arrive with no dings, dents, or scratches and seem nice and strong. I do agree with some of the other reviews that said to get extra wood glue. We happened to have some so it worked out great but thanks to that other review we made sure we had a big bottle of it before this arrived. Most of the connectors are actually metal and not wooden dowels as I was expecting. The connectors seem nice and strong so I don't think extra screws, brackets, etc are necessary. My husband put the entertainment center together in about an hour without any trouble. The fire place part is lovely and definitely helps keep the draft away while we relax in our living room We absolutely recomend it. For the price it is way better than we could have expected and it looks great! Our friends think it's a much more expensive piece of furniture. It's definitely a great value!

I try hard to always give a fair review, and if you look I am not shy for giving harsh reviews when the product deserves it. But if they deserve it? If they deserve it I try to give a great review. This product deserves a good review. First thing I like about it is a thing that I dislike about most inexpensive prefab products. I hate that they always have cheap tackle that some times breaks or some times there are even bits missing. For this product, there was a spare of every nut, bolt and screw. I didn't need any of them, but if I had there would have been a spare. I have had a lot of furniture of this type have a screw break or not be included. Not so here. Bravo. The only thing I wanted more of was the glue, the tiny tube was not enough. Glue is sort of hard to judge, so i found myself running out. Fortunately I was able to substitute another product to finish off construction. I think the glue tube should have been bigger. This is my only real complaint. Another thing I hate about products like this is the awful instructions which can sometimes just be general guidelines. This product has excellent instructions. I completed the construction alone in about 2 hours. It would have been easier if there were extra hands just because its a long item and such items are generally somewhat unwieldy. Still, it was easily done and I took it slow. You can do the construction by hand and the only tool you really need is a phillips screwdriver. I dont like those cheesy hex wrenches they some times send with stuff like this, so I used my own instead, but you wouldn't have to do that. I would advise against using power tools. This is still particle board and if you used power tools you would strip out the holes. Its sturdy enough and has plenty of bays for all my components. its also small and doesn't take up a ton of space. I like this product. 5 stars. but like i said, next time more glue, tho to be truthful you probably don't even need the glue.

It's unusual for me to write a review as I have to be really unhappy or extremely pleased, on this occasion it is the latter. This unit really does live up to it's advertising. It arrived much quicker than expected, and was easy to assemble. I'm retired with multiple health issues but I was able to assemble it with just a little bit of help from my 13 year old granddaughter. If there was anything they could do to improve this unit, it would be to make the diameter of the dowel holes a little smaller, but as glue was provided I could have used that if I really wanted to. Considering it was a 'flat pack unit' the quality of the materials is very good and I am more than happy with that aspect. We did have an issue, which was a problem with the fire, but the seller responded immediately to my message, was courteous, polite and resolved the problem to my satisfaction without breaking a sweat. I have nothing but respect for the seller and the product. My final comment relates to its price. I have been looking at this type of unit, with a fire, and to stand a TV on, and this price is very, very good. You can look far and wide, but for appearance, material quality, ease of build, and customer service, you will not beat this price. Buy with confidence.
