One of the hinges on our upholstered shoe storage bench started to fail and the bench would no longer close properly. I took a chance and ordered these hinges as a replacement. They were exactly the same size, shape and finish. Super easy to install, these came with a right and left hinge, with plenty of extra screws. Only tool needed is a Philips head screw driver. These hinges look great and are whisper quiet. Lid stays up and closes completely without slamming. Im so pleased! They saved me a ton of money and I was able to keep my bench!

We tried so many other brands, none of them worked until these! These are PERFECT closures as we wanted for two toy chest. We have young grandchildren, 2,4 and 6, and their tiny fingers could get crushed or slammed on. No more! Absolutely perfect!

Work great. No instructions. Fortunately I have a similar purchased trunk I could copy dimensions. This is critical. There's a pin at the bottom attached to a mounting bracket like a conduit strap. Position center of that pin 1.625" below trunk top edge and 1.75" forward of inside back wall. Then open hinge to resting position. Open lid and attach to hinge. Lid will be leaning closed a few degrees, that is correct. For $0.10, these instructions should be included.

We are handy people. We DIY all the time so it isn't that we didn't know how to install or work this hinge, it is just cheap junk. Will only hold at one small angle, and then only for a short time. Seems more dangerous than not having a support hinge at all. But at this point, we can't return it because we have already installed it and there are drilled holes in our project. We will rig it up and hope it works better than the original.
