The picture looked more fitted and on me, not so much. The fuller the figure, the more empire it fits. Definitely not warm enough to be outside for any length of time in Minnesotain the winter. I bought the XL... it was too big Ordered the L... too small ALL over. L was 3 inches smaller in the chest and the sleeve size is about 1.5 inches smaller. My sister has this in a medium, the L is the same size as a medium. Outside of the fit, this jacket is lightweight, good for a Midwestern spring, or a WA autumn.
