They are a little heavy and awkward at first - there's nothing to rest your thumb against and takes a little getting used to. That said, they are definitely quality, very sharp, and easy to use once you get used to them. And they are well made for heavy duty use. The metal blades extend to the end of the handle grip making them practically indestructible. And, for smaller jobs - I just snipped a cup full of very sticky dates into tiny pieces - no sticking to the blades, creating clean separate pieces. Haven't used them for breaking down a chicken yet but I expect they will work very well. I am really glad to have a pair of kitchen shears that wont fall apart right away.

Bought this knife for my daughter five years ago as she was into making sour dough bread. She loves it. After asking her how the knife was doing ( did it remain sharp) I ordered one for myself. I love it! It is cutting cleanly through the bread I am making. I feel like I can go back to making bread and get clean thin slices. Here is my wish though - I wish the manufacturer had included a leather sheath to store the knife- it is really sharp. At this point I am still keeping in the box it arrived in but I know that won't last forever.

I love tomatoes. This is the very best tomato specific knife I have used. I now use it exclusively for cutting up tomatoes. It is light weight. The little prongs on the tip are useful for moving pieces around the cutting board. It looks cool with the prongs, serrations, and the hollowed-out blade. I am not sure what makes it a better knife for cutting tomatoes, I just know it does.

The inner cutouts are sharp and catch on cheese when slicing. Other than that, works well.

I had it for less than 6 days before it became unusable, and I had to return it. The blade is amazing, but the handle started splintering, and I could not hold it without getting tiny splinters in my hand. I am so disappointed! I really liked this knife before the handle started hurting my hand.
